If you don't remember losing 21-0 to Southern Miss in 2000, you aren't a real Gump.

Also 2001 where beating Southern Miss meant going 6-5 and getting bowl eligible. The game was played on a Thursday after the Iron Bowl because of 9/11.

Texas A&M’s list is embarrassing. I guess when your main focus is sucking penises, supporting trannys, and celebrating low testosterone, it’s actually about what you’d expect. Pathetic.

We’re so gay, I know.

When you’ve been in conferences that contain half of the nation’s teams (hyperbole invoked), it removes us from listing many schools other than those you see listed.

Additionally, Texas is a ridiculously huge landmass (royalties being sent to the MS schools, posthaste!).
Back in the day that made it tough to travel to schools beyond those on our list.

Why is LSU scared to play good OOC teams?

We have played our #6 team Notre Dame more times than you have played your #5 Miami and 1 short of the number of times you have played Louisiana Tech, your #4.
Have also played Florida State 9 times

2. Louisiana-Lafayette (22)
3. Louisiana Tech (20)

That's some tough scheduling right there.

Congratulations on being able to count. Not a common trait among swamp trash

I don’t think that’s fair.
It has little to do with whom LSU scheduled and more to do with non-conference opponents who were in their geographic range.

The SEC schools on the east coast have more non-conference opponent options who happen to be in big conferences (e.g. SEC, ACC, Big East).
Historically, it definitely gives you an edge in OOC scheduling.

Kind of limits A&M when we've shared a conference with about 30 teams.

Twice since 1988. We played them almost every year from 1932 until the 80's and a good portion of that they were not the terrible Rice team we now know. They were a member of the old SWC and while not great, they had some good teams. They have been to 4 cotton bowls, 1 Sugar Bowl, and 1 Orange Bowl

These 3 are on future schedules.

Although this list is kind of cheating. We were never in a league with these guys but all 6 of us spent a lot of years as Independents together.

Texas A&M was a big OOC team we played a lot. It no longer counts in this thread though.

Without looking, I'm pretty sure that most of our games with OU, and some of the OSU games, were not OOC games. OU and OSU were once in the SWC and we've only played OU a few times since they left.

Some of the A&M games against those teams were likely conference games, as well.

Clemson showing up a lot, too.

I imagine if South Carolina had remained outside of the SEC, they'd be way up on a lot of lists as well.
