I just read the first one. I'm assuming the rest really were just 24 attempts to make that not look like the only reason.

lol you guys are comparing all duck fans to the dude who wrote this article? It's like me saying every SEC fan is a snaggletooth hillbilly with a mullet.

oh and

Agreed. Oregon will get it's wish to beat an SEC team.

We beat you guys in 2002 and 2003(MSU). We also gave the vols the worst beating in Neyland Stadium history.

In all fairness, MSU doesn't count.

That's like us bragging about beating Washington State.

I agree, but that msu fan was pushing his SEC chest out as if his team was badass or something.

Actually have to agree here. We sucked arse back in 02-03. If Oregon played us now it'd be different.

Would love to have a home and away game again. Went to the home game in Starkville way back when. Good atmosphere despite us sucking arse.

It would be a great home and home. No cowbells though plz.lol

We got TENN next year at Autzen. Maybe Dooley will turn things around this year so they will have some hype next year going into the game.

Our next Home and home with the SEC is Texas A&M. It would have been Georgia in 2015 and 16 but they canceled.

2. Nick Fairley and dirty defense

Did Fairley and the Auburn defense play dirty that game? I just remember them wearing Oregon's offensive line out, plain and simple.

4. Alabama is equally confused
The Crimson Tide's mascot is an elephant -- huh?

Stanford is the Cardinal, yet their mascot is a ... tree?

5. They won't come up here

I'd love to play a game at Autzen provided that Oregon makes a return trip to Tiger Stadium. From my recent memory, a good bit of SEC schools have played out West in the Pac 12: (LSU: Washington, Arizona State, and Arizona, Tennessee: UCLA and Cal, Georgia: Arizona State and Colorado, Auburn: Southern Cal, Mississippi State: Oregon, Arkansas: USC, Alabama:UCLA)

10. Tailgating
The SEC fans claim to be the best at this, too, but who couldn't grill a burger and slurp a cheap beer? Where's the creativity?

I can go on....
quote:

11. Don't travel very often
It's not just going out West to play the Pac-12 that the SEC doesn't do; the teams don't travel to very many other games that might challenge their perceived greatness

Hmm...LSU: Virginia Tech and West Virginia, Alabama: Oklahoma and Penn State, Arkansas: Texas Ole Miss: Texas Tech, Tennessee: Notre Dame, South Carolina: Clemson every year, Florida: Miami and Florida State, Georgia: Georgia Tech

22. It's not jealousy

Sure...

"13. SEC homers

Ask any SEC fan and he is certain any school in his conference is better than pretty much any other anywhere. It's like some are still sore about losing the Civil War and want to get revenge on the rest of us through football."

I don't think Ole Miss, Vandy or Kentucky is better than most.

The record and image of the SEC means that Oregon has to beat SEC teams frequently to truly establish itself nationally. It's a sad, but true fact that the road to ultimate Ducks football fame goes through the South.

This was just...

True. LSU refuses to go out west to play Arizona, Arizona State or Washington. Just like Tennessee won't go out there to play UCLA or Cal, right? This guy is really on a roll.

5. They won't come up here

Oregon coach Chip Kelly has an open invitation for nationally recognized programs and SEC teams who wish to come to Autzen Stadium to play, but oddly, none seem to want to risk the humiliation.
