He's had his Pre-Season rankings out for a while. He unveiled Bama at #7 over a month ago.
And yes, it did invoke a rash of calls from upset rednecks. Tim Brando likes Bama about as much as ESPN likes LSU.

I read through a couple of pages and was surprised none of the Bammers remembered that Tim Brando was a sports reporter for WAFB in the 80's. That would be the CBS affiliate in Baton Rouge. Way to go Timmy gettin those bammer shorts in a knot!

I'm guessing the stat that was stated was that of all of the RBs who had rushed for at least 1000 yds last year that played against Bama only one of them rushed for 100 yds against Bama: Gurley. Hill only rushed for about as much as Keith Marshall.

I consider myself to be acutely perceptive and have always thought Brando to be very awkward at any attempts at humor,
so I find it a little deflating that everyone else in the country outside of the state of louisiana has picked up on the same thing.

you're on target, I used to support him because he was a home town boy doing good, he's gotten himself some good jobs, and lost them, regained them, over the years, he's a fricking blow hard, that will offer opinion only if he doesn't think it will come back to bite him, not to mention, an egomaniac

I really think Brando has been very unprofessional concerning his disdain for Bama. If you are a national syndicated sports talk show host at least try and show some sort of objectivity. I also cannot stand his Boise State bullshite and his whole tired, "put that in your BCS pipe and smoke it."

Nah, that's what Finebaum does. He's been playing both Alabama and Auburn's fan bases for years. And yes, plenty of idiots called into his show.
