this is how I see it. Even if they would of been able to review the play I don't see how they could overturn it. Same if he was called out on the field.

OP doesn't address the obvious error.

The 1B chose to play for SC. Obvious error.

This kind of calls are going to continue to happen so long as the SEC HQ is in Bammerham and they keep hiring all these Bammers on the SEC staff

That might sting if it wasn't coming from an Aggie fan

Damn that would be a good anlge....shitty that they took that picture from Mars with a potato.

So unfortunately that still doesn't prove he was safe.

Now note the shadows at the bag/foot. Amazing how the sun is shining through the gap between first basemans foot and the bag...

Call was that FB man was off the bag not that the runner beat the throw...

The 1st basemans foot could be off of the ground and still on the bag, creating the same shadow.

He was safe

I saw more missed calls in last night's Bama/Auburn game as I've seen in ten games of 11-12 ball this year. The strike zone was just as bad.

Just be glad you didn't get swept by Alabama. What a shitty weekend for AU baseball. Couldn't have come at a worst time.

No, because the shadow of his foot would then be at least partially on the RF side of the bag, not towards 2B. This isn't rocket science.

The ump had the best angle, and on the replay it seemed he was feeling for the bag and moving his back slightly.

You couldnt tell from the camera angles they showed.

Yes, you could, by the clear sunlight gap in the shadow between his foot and 1B. Look at the tRant thread with still pictures from one of the ESPN replays...it is clear.

Please tell me how in the name of Physics you can have a complete light filled gap between bag and foot shadows and the 1b man still have his foot on the bag.

The call wasn't that the runner beat the throw you nitwit. The umpire clearly indicated that the fielders foot came off of the bag. Only the ump and first baseman know for sure. And the ump is the only neutral party. If you think you see something different from what the umpire called, just from that photo then you are a seriously retarded mental midget. Also, HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!
