That is truly something I have never seen!

ETA: in live action i thought is was a ground ball as well.

I sat behind the LSU dugout and was in disbelief they called him safe.


I'll take it though. Both sides win. Carolina can fire Holbrook, and LSU stays alive

why not? what hasn't been mentioned yet is that after watson passed the bag, the first baseman's foot rolled back to the bag as he was getting out of the stretch and you can clearly see his foot hit the bag and the bag buckles up - meaning he wasn't touching it before. had his foot been on it, the bag would have been buckled already and gone down.
