yes you could. like i said, you could see the bag buckle upwards when his foot rocked back and actually touched the bag meaning, it wasn't on the bag before or the bag would have already been buckled up

Saw this play. Game should have been over..

Then a couple innings later LSU celebrating the victory like they deserved it.

They put the camera on the umpire that made that call... Looked just like a Boudreaux to me....

Show it. I am interested, and unconvinced thus far.

well, you were wrong as has been pointed out multiple times in this thread, with pictures even.

Have to have the angle of the 1st base umpire to be sure. We never got that. Translation no one really knows.

no convincing is necessary. i saw the bag buckle when he actually touched it - AFTER watson had already passed the bag. if you don't want to accept that, fine. be stubborn

there wasn't a good angle to determine if the call was right or wrong

He looks out

Very bang, bang play. Easy to get wrong. Umpires don't have still images to make calls. Now if it was reviewed and still called safe, they got it wrong. That is if the first baseman's foot was on the bag and he held onto the ball. Looks like a bad throw, though. Sometimes umps will penalize the defense if the call is close with a bad throw.

Gotta admit, he looked out, without looking at pics.

Well, look at the pics and explain the light between the shadow of the foot and the bag.

Just sayin.

As a wise old coach told me one time, after I had been ejected from a game, "he was safe because the ump called him safe"

Couldn't come at a worse time in the game. I'm kind of happy. The more we lose, the more of a chance Tanner nuts up and finds a coach worth a damn.

This has been a good series though LSU, win or lose

#Shametheofficials

Because the ump. is behind 1st base towards 2nd base instead of in the coach's box on this side the pic came from.

It wasnt that bang bang but the throw beating the runner was never a question.

The pictures in this thread at least raise a huge question of whether or not his foot came off the bag. And that is what the ump saw and that is why he called him safe.

Honestly not really sure what the bitching is about.
