It was Felker's last year. Brownlee for Ole Miss fumbled a punt which State recovered, and the State player made sure Brownlee was aware of it and the next thing I knew the Ole Miss bench cleared and the melee began.

Back in the late 80's or early 90's, LSU & tulane, at the near end of another LSU blowout, started a brawl-like fight with several minutes left. It started out in the South end zone & got all the way out to the 20-30 yard line. Both benches emptied. The refs ended up calling the game. That was a real fight, not a bunch of pushing & shoving like today's "fights".
