Wouldn't the 2nd place team be awarded the title?

No. There's a difference between vacating a title and forfeiting a title.

When you consider the conference was only 10 teams up until the early 90s, 6 out of the 10 winning a conference championship is a probably a healthy amount of parity. The real surprising part is no one the conference has added in the last four decades has won a single conference championship.

Fans care about it though. As a Vol fan I'd think you'd understand this since it's all you clowns have to talk about

6 teams… do we have a term for this? We should really have a term for this.

The Little Eight had a HUGE problem with this. Huge. As if they didn’t want you to speak of a term that explained exactly what you’re talkin about.

Just add a year, include Kentucky, and you got your big 7.

There is a reason you left..was a very, very, very shitty conference with only 2 good programs...now you are both in the SEC. Texas will do well, they have money, a very powerful recruiting State(which is mainly their State the other schools struggle in Football), but OU seems like they will struggle a ton in the new era and line up with Nebraska.

The SEC is the most boring and top-heavy conference in college football.
Now it down to only 2 teams and 1 of those has slipped, leaving it a 1 team league. I used to think the SEC was underpaid by its TV partners, now I believe it is overpaid and if ESPN were to drop the SEC it would struggle without the coverage and propaganda it receives.

Well in 1976 Kentucky and Georgia shared the title, so technically you could go back much further, to 1964, I think Ole Miss won in 1963.

Yes, its true UK shared the title so it wouldn't be ONLY THESE 6 schools won, but it would read like this, since 1964, one of these 6 schools have won the SEC Football Championship.

There is a very good reason you play in the SEC now. The Big 12 basically had 3 great programs(Texas, Ou, Nebraska)the rest were terrible most seasons. You will def not dominate like that for decades playing in the SEC now....very, very, very sure.
