LSU is in 100% compliance with NCAA and SEC bylaws.
No one has to like it and Lane is a circus, but to my knowledge, there isn't a rule LSU is currently breaking.
What used to be "lack of institutional control" is now just business as usual.

Your whole athletic department is a clown show

The rule A&M was in violation of at the time of the vote?

After the past month, I'd argue that Kiffin has more control over his institution than Sankey does.
Thank God Sankey wasn't commish when Spurrier was in his prime. All those mean words would have drover him over the edge.

You know college football is dominated more on emotion than logic at the fan level.
Lane has absolutely trolled this situation. I think Lane has wanted to test the edges of the rules to see where he can get an advantage at. Sankey got embarrassed in court with how he didn’t have full knowledge on everything he is trying to make rules on.
There’s a lot of stuff happening here, but it boils down to - LSU is not getting kicked out, SEC is trying to get a firmer grip on being the arbiter of rules for the conference, ESPN will never allow Sankey to do this. Everyone is sitting on full spring tension.

It’s more like the degenerate black sheep uncle really but the same principle applies.

So be honest, do you want us out? And if so then why?
Posted on 9/8/26 at 12:06 pm to BoarEd
We want to leave. You and the other sad schools will have home and homes with the MAC after LSU, Texas, Oklahoma leave to form a super conference. Bye losers.

Usually you have to actually break the rules and not just disagree with them for that to happen
If it were as simple as this they wouldn't have a vote scheduled to remove LSU.

This is just about the SEC establishing its authority to enforce its policies. I hope they get it, or college football will even further into circus mode.
Then find leadership that’s proactive and not reactive

Please, please do since that's the collective mindset of this board.

We did wait till the very last minute before a holiday weekend to not put these players on the roster. We’ve also left the door open to put them on the roster. We are waiting to see how this all plays out and the SEC still doesn’t like that
I think they want the federal court to rule they can expel us if we do.
The court won’t, but technically the explication bylaw doesn’t say they need a reason (something maybe we all should address when this blows over)
