Our Missouri Tigers fought for the North, and unlike the Louisiana Tigers, never surrendered

On a serious historical note... The Missouri Tigers defended Columbia from confederate guerilla groups in Boone County. Even Bloody Bill and Quantrill weren't willing to mess with the Tigers.

The Quakers over in Lawrence were a much easier mark for them.

Why Auburn doesn't exclusively go by War Eagle is a mystery to me. It's an awesome name and mascot.

War Eagle is a greeting.

Auburn Eagles would be fine.

LSU should be known as the Bayou Bengals

Very appropriate for LSU since mud bugs thrive on the shite water we send downstream....unfortunately the LSU residents drink the water and unfortunately it seems to stunt the locals intellectual development.
