After shitting the bed against Ohio State the other night, I’m not 100% Georgia has what it takes to be a dynasty. But I wouldn’t be mad if they did. Good program with pretty good fans. There’s definitely worse schools that it could happen to.

Yeah it's never exactly the same team. The core players and coordinates are the same.
Dynasty is what Saban did. Won multiples across 10 years of teams. That's a dynasty.

But should we pump the brakes?

Two titles don’t equal a dynasty. You need at least three.
I don't think UGA is at dynasty level yet, but I'm not sure there's a magic number.
For example, I'd call FSU's streak of top 5 finishes very dynastic... but I only think they had two national titles in there. Staying at the top level and winning every so often for over a decade kind of counts.
What Bama did from 2009 to 2017 goes beyond dynasty level. It was unprecedented for college football. I'd still say Bama is in "dynasty mode" but they're no longer in that truly dominating place. They're looking at a title every five years or so (which is still dynastic), rather than every other year.
If UGA ends up averaging a title every 3-4 years over a decade... with other high finishes to go with it... that would probably qualify. In the last 6 seasons (if UGA wins the NC) they'll have 2 NC's, 3 NC appearances and all six finishes in the top 10. Another 4 years at the same rate would likely earn a "dynasty" type designation in the mind of some.

As I said, you can call anything a dynasty if you get to determine the definition.
UGA has Kanasa City Chiefs syndrome right now, the dynasty of one championship. Because they winning so much during the season.

There is no reason to even use the word dynasty.
Enjoy the ride, history will sort it out.
You could make a reasonable argument that college football isnt old enough to be a dynasty.

It’s much further from exactly. It is a rebuilding season after all.

You are insufferably stupid, dynasties don’t go to sleep for 75% of their existence including an 80 year stretch and 40 year stretch

Hell UGA has a mulligan Natty
LSU lost to 2 UNRANKED teams in 2007 and still made it to the title.
GTFO with this mulligan garbage.

Georgia wins 1 championship in 40 years of getting clapped and their fans come here talking about dynasties

and guess what, that still doesn't make it a dynasty!

Even if that were true (and it's a huge stretch) it still doesn't make a dynasty.
Florida won in 06 and 08 with mostly new players across the board. Still wasn't a dynasty.

True dynasties don’t start proclaiming themselves a dynasty with a couple of big IFs.
True dynasties are proclaimed a dynasty by everyone you sees them.
GA fans need to just slow their roll with this dynasty talk. Try to sustain winning titles, SEC and Natties for 5-10 years.

Bama needs to slow down and review those Natty titles. Big Bad Bubbas Fat Hog BBQ and bait shop really doesn’t count.

Well if we look at the last 10 years, Bama has 5 National Championships! That’s a dynasty.

I do agree. Got to win at least 3 to earn that designation.
