It’s actually a pretty big accomplishment considering bama went in portal to create a super team while uga lost entire defense and didn’t get one portal player

It's getting easier to pull for TCU.

How to say you not pulling for Georgia without actually saying you're not pulling for Georgia.

I agree. Out of curiosity, though, what would constitute a dynasty? It's such a vague term....it would be interesting to know what people think.

That said, back to back is still pretty impressive and has been done very, very few times, so it has to be considered on the way to establishing a dynasty.
ETA
(IF we go back to back. People (Some Georgia fans)are doing a lot of assuming right now)

Two titles don’t equal a dynasty. You need at least three.

In what space of time? I mean Georgia has 3 (or 4 depending on who you want to believe/accept), but 3 in what space of time would constitute a dynasty in your mind?

Georgia wins 1 championship in 40 years of getting clapped and their fans come here talking about dynasties

LSU went 45 years in between titles, so....

I think it is premature to call Georgia in a dynasty, too, but again...what constitutes a dynasty?

I mean in the last 5 years Georgia has played for 3 National Championships, won 1 with an opportunity to win a second one...that's pretty good. Again, not dynasty worthy (in my mind) but surely you have to consider Georgia on the edge of a dynasty if they keep this success going.

Definitely not a dynasty. You've won your conference once in the last 5 years.

While Back-to-Back is impressive...dominating a decade typically constitutes a dynasty in my mind.

Dynasty is what Saban did. Won multiples across 10 years of teams. That's a dynasty.

I get what you are saying and agree...mostly. It has to be done over a much longer eriod of time, imo.

However, his point is also correct. We had 15 starters drafted off last years team, and a couple more that came back are injured and out for the year. We essentially have 5-6 starters that returned from last year. And last season we had new OC and a new DC this year.

But I do agree....it has to be done over a much longer period of time.

Yeah. That's kind of where I stand. How many titles in the decade, do you think? When I think of dynasty, I tend to think of time frame and titles.

Thanks for answering!

3 out of 4/5, or so, is required. Bama secured it under saban in 09-12.

Wow. Tight window. 3 titles in 4-5 years?
That said....that is what makes a dynasty special. If it was easy to do we would have dynasties all the time.

Do you think winning has to be extended over a certain period of time other than the 4-5 years?

CFB Dynasties

Bama 2009 -2020 6 NCs
Miami 1983-1991 4 NCs
Southern Cal 1967-1978 4 NCs
ND 1943-1949 4 NCs

This is just my opinion, maybe others feel they had dynasties at some point
