They were picked to give A&M a big "First game in the SEC".

And we all remember this game well as Muschamp gave aggy their first of many SEC loses.

Insane. In 2012 I was a freshman in high school and 2025 will be my one year mark out of the navy. Time flies man.

I hope they go to a 3 permanent and 5 rotating schedule, but if it makes sense it rarely happens.

Auburn has been a much better program than A&M during that timeframe.

In what way? I guess they’ve won the division twice and SEC once. Other than that they’ve been sub par.

Auburn: 77-52 (.597), 2-7 in bowls, 1 sec championship, 1 division championship, 0 NY6 wins

Texas A&M: 85- 41, (.675) 6-3 in bowls, 1 NY6 win

Series is 5-5

We are still waiting on ATM to travel to Lexington. SEC Scheduling sucks.

This is the way the SEC has always been. It's a long SEC tradition that some schools simply play other schools infrequently.

Random Friday musing from a Gator about how many times UGA has been to Texas A&M? Odd.

This is why we need 3 permanent, 6 rotating. This is fricking unacceptable.

stating facts

Maybe misleading facts. Georgia doesn't decide its conference schedule. The conference decides it. Congrats on playing in College Station and winning.

You know what they should do is follow the NFL scheduling pattern teams with better records like Georgia for example should play a first place schedule like playing against Alabama and the teams that had a terrible record play against the teams that finished last in their division.

State played at Florida in 2010 and makes a return trip in 2025. Almost like Haley’s Comet rare pass throughs

Of course with the additional schools coming on board in 2025 that will be subject to change now.

Now mind you I enjoyed the 2010 trip since we won the game and Gainesville was enjoyable. But I probably will not venture back there again. But still 15 years between visits?

UGA annual crossover game with Auburn.

ATM annual crossover game with South Carolina [fake rivalry bullshite]

That adds up to one meeting over 13 years or so. The real question is how Florida has already played them twice despite also having an annual crossover with the swamp kittens.

Blame the SEC office -- not UGA.

Boo-hoo, Gators.

but the A&M folks acting like UGA is scared is ridiculous.

Never knew anyone from A&M felt this way as we realize scheduling is controlled by the conference office. Strange comment given the fact that a Gator loving Horn started this thread.

even Dawg fans should be able to admit that its really weird that you guys have only played them 1 time and never at their place.

Okay???

How come nobody is saying it's really "weird" A&M has only played UGA once?
Or they get SC as their east "rival?"

And how come those "schedule" makers robbed us of a home game with Auburn in '13 and STILL haven't returned the game to us?

Pulled the Auburn home game and moved the Auburn game out of November to appease the warplainseagletigermen.

If anyone thinks UGA has any control over our SEC scheduling outside of JAX, you are fooling yourselves.

Hell... all of this bitching about conference scheduling and it sounds like the board majority wants to give more control to the conference schedule makers (9th and or 10th conference games). Sounds like a bunch of morons who demand change so they can bitch about the unintended consequences.

The SEC made sure Expansion '92 teams and Expansion '12 teams play each other every year.

Arkansas and South Carolina both play Mizzouri and TAMu every season, since 2015.

There's some logic to that, I guess. Arkansas/Missouri geographically, especially since Mizzou is so far from most of the East, it gives them a relatively close home and home. (it's still a 5 hour drive between CoMo and Fayetteville).

TAMU/Carolina was just an extension of that thought-process.

I’m sure Georgia will play whoever is picked last in the west….again as usual.
