Tua is a great player/passer, but I agree that sometimes he is guilty of going for the big play instead of going to his check downs and of sometimes deciding where he is going with the ball before the snap.
Luckily, these are correctable things, and I am sure Enos will do a lot of work with him on it before next season.

but Kyler and Lawrence did just fine against bamas D.
Bamas D wasnt all that great this year which makes it even more pathetic that LSU scored exactly 0(zero) points against it in their home stadium

You're cute and all when you try to deflect, but this is sad.
You're melting like a little bitch. Trying to act hard and flip it on other people is just laughable.

I believe his humility is for show.
Either that or he is constantly fighting it. He wants to be humble but really isn't.
He's mentally soft tho.
But as great of a QB as he is, he is still young. He may still evolve into a tough leader that is humble and not just trying to be.

Humility in face of the spotlight and platform available to him is I'm certain a daily challenge. There's no shame or harm in admitting that. It's not a character flaw to have to deal with that challenge or to feel that pull. It's more like human nature.
I think he has a very strong foundation and supportive family and his faith is also something that helps him with those challenge.
As far as his on-the-field issues...the kid is a True Sophomore. In an unbelievably scrutinized position. He also deals with that daily. His mistakes-for the first time ever-are being dissected for the entire world to see.
I'm 100% certain that's difficult for him to deal with. Again, that's part of being a human being as well.
He will get much, much, much better with time. He will be a better player for having deal with this. He will be a better player just via maturation and experience and development in 2019. But even then he will have a huge window of opportunity to continue to improve as a person and player at the next level.
Some of the criticism is warranted as he didn't play his best game of the Year. However...some of the commentary regarding having stars in his eyes is a bit lacking in context IMO.

I'm talking shite to you over a football game that you take so seriously.
Dude, you can't act so pathetic then call someone else pathetic.

He would probably be better suited for a PAC-12 team, where he isn't subjected to the physicality of SEC Defenses. He has terrific football knowledge, and a terrific arm, but there is ZERO chance he survives another season in the SEC, now that other teams have a full season of film on him and know how to better game plan. Jalen Hurts is a steel tank and can take anything that comes his way, Tua is flat-out fragile as compared to Jalen.
I also think the "humbled hero" thing is totally an act, but we have nine months to play this out.

It's amazing how quickly some of you completely melt down when even the slightest thing goes wrong. Think about how small of a sample of failure you're talking about here. And in one of those games (Georgia), he was clearly hurt nearly the entire game (just go back and watch, the could barely move).
Believe it or not, everyone on earth has a bad game. If there was one game were Peyton Manning had trouble with pressure it doesn't mean that he "cannot handle pressure" anymore.
Jesus pull yourself together

#1 is false. He handles pressure extremely well. He climbs the pocket better than anyone I've seen in college. The rush doesn't seem to bother him at all he just steps up. If anything he holds the ball to long waiting for the big play to develop. He escapes pressure well also. The scramble drill pass to Juedy was probably his best throw all night.
2. Absolutely he does try way too hard to make something out of nothing. For whatever reason he hates the check down. I watched an interview with him and Jonathan Vilma and he said he is coached to go for the home run. I think Enos will fix that.
3.Pre-snap reads determine where any QB goes with the ball 85% of the time. You only go through the reads when the number 1 option is not open. Great QBs get fooled. Hell even Peyton Manning was able to be fooled. Again Enos will fix this.
He has only started 15 games. He will make a huge leap this off-season without having to be in a fake QB competition. He will get all the first team reps and Enos won't have to worry so much about improving Jalen.
All of the Wrs will be back and Leatherwood will slide out to tackle and the O-LINE will be as good or better.

I really like Tua and think he is a good, solid QB, thta given time and development will be a great QB. Georgia was fortunate to catch him with a bad ankle.
I hope he does well in the future....at least until we play him again.

Jalen Hurts missed more time as a backup QB at Alabama this year than Hurts did as a starter. He played through injuries where Hurts opted for surgery and was out for multiple games.
Beyond that, he was the Heisman Trophy runner-up in the SEC and was playing with one True Freshman and two True Sophomore wide receivers and a Sophomore Tight End.
Your entire argument is completely off-base versus what he accomplished thusfar in his career. Which includes going through an entire SEC season now.
The crazy thing is that as an LSU Fan I'm trying to be reasonable and some of your responses are so detached from reality or logic it's unreal.

You also think the Heisman Runner Up should transfer to the PAC-10 after he played the entire year because he's fragile. So let's pump the brakes on your hot-takes. Respectfully.

Exactly, all very fixable issues for a qb finishing up his first year of starting - Clemson did a great job scheming to his tendencies. Excited to see what he can develop into next year, hopefully this game and the UGA fuel him to greater heights.

I'm glad we have the young man. To those of you that think he cannot improve I will give you Exhibit A, Jalen Hurts.
He came a long way under Dan Enos and so will Tua. Next year's Tua will be a better QB, and with all of his receivers back most likely the sky is the limit. He will learn from these experiences and be better for it.
Hell, with Clemson's schedule they'd probably been gameplanning for us for some time, and given that so called schedule they have they will likely be doing it again.

Not sure about this. Obviously he looked like crap in that game, but he was also playing on one ankle.
Then what was the Clemson preformance excuse? Not debating he hurt his ankle but I think Tua milks the injury much more than people wanna admit.

Tua does not understand his role in the game. That's one of the things that separates the greats like Brady and Brees. The term "game manager" tends to be looked down upon, but great QBs understand what needs to be done.
