He smoked a bunch of fake weed. Had a mental breakdown. Ended up with his momma coming to town while he was in the hospital.
Because of this breakdown his grades went to crap.
He kind of wanted to play at LSU still. His momma wanted him home.
He had an academic waiver to play at LSU last year, but still chose to transfer and sit out a year to fix his grades and play at Georgia.
None of this is a personal attack on the kid. I wish him well and hope he has a thriving career. That legal weed is bad stuff. It did something similar to me over a decade ago.

If Gilbert plays to his talent level UGA could have the greatest TE room in NCAA history this year.
Bowers/Gilbert could be the college equivalent of Gronkowski/Hernandez with Darnell Washington thrown in as a blocker in-line guy.

It’s not an attack at all and what you posted is exactly what happened. The post you made is the truth and I don’t think it says anything negative about the kid

Darnell so far has the injury fairy flying around him. He missed all of spring too. Such a great potential but if all three of those guys can be healthy in a 13 personnel, no can defense. That's not even considering the 4 and 5 te's, Seither and Delp.

Diddley already tried this troll.

Is he good to go in camp? For as much as y'all talk about 13 personnel, there's a lot of questions about availability outside of Bowers with Washington battling injuries and Gilbert being hit or miss. I am sure Bowers' torn labrum isn't serious.
I am never going to root against a kid though. I hope Washington and Gilbert stay healthy physically and mentally respectively.
I am not sure you need theorize why he would be successful at the expense of LSU. It could be timing and getting closer to home.

You are forgetting about Delp and Seither.

Do you really think 13 with Seither and Delp is a better option than your 2nd receiver?

Mental illness is no joke. I hope he can learn to deal with his symptoms as it pertains to life and football. But to have this many issues, this early in life, is concerning.

Then I am not sure you understand why this forum exists.

Depends on down and distance, depends on why Seither and Delp are out there together at the same time. No, if the roster was Bowers, Delp, Seither, no I wouldn't run any 13.
When your roster is Bowers, Washington, Gilbert, Delp, Seither, then absolutely you run some 13 and you'd be a dipshit not to.

Of course, you'd run it at times. I've seen Georgia posters going and and saying there will be 4 TEs on the field.
The only team I've watched on film dedicated to running jumbo packages as their base is NDSU. Wisconsin does a lot of it as well but not quite as much.

He’s a psych head case. Doubt he makes it through a season

That sort of talk is rooted in the fact Gilbert and Bowers can both be in WR spots, and still have two other TE's playing actual TE, so you are technically in a 14 due to roster position but the formation isn't necessarily a jumbo/goal line etc. With those guys, you can run a 13 or even 14 and make multiple formations out of it, making it a real bitch to defend without subs.
ETA- you put your "jumbo" personnel out there, defense subs in theirs, then two of your "jumbo"s line up out wide with every bit of speed as any WR, but up against slower jumbo defenders, it's a success. If the defense keeps their regular package out there, then you motion those guys back in for mismatches. Mismatches one way or the other, a rare luxury that is basically unheard of. But all those guys have to stay healthy. As soon as you start to lose depth in the TE room, much of that fantasy comes crashing down.
