I wish the young man well

Even though he won't be playing at LSU I can't root against the kid

Cover Bowers, say mean things to Gilbert and he will quit, and they don’t throw to Washington

Why would I be arse hurt about taking your five star TE to supplement our two other 5 star tight ends? Someone is definitely arse hurt here, but it's not me.

You’re responding to a Bama fan.

Just sad that you would troll about a player with mental health issues, but it’s par for the course coming from you.

So much fail here. I’m sure you’ll never respond to the replies that prove Gilbert turned down Bama. I’m sure A&M recruited (tampered) him too, and I know you won’t log in to your Aggie alters and respond.

Spin it all you want but the kid didn’t make the effort academically, didn’t want to block and quit on his teammates. And Orgeron bending over backwards to accommodate him was just the start of the the toxic culture that cost him his job.

It's obviously easier said than done.

I am a little perplexed at the mantra from Georgia fans about 13 personnel being some kind of exotic formation.

I lot of teams run that package. Oregon also plays Stanford and I wouldn't be surprised if Oregon played Wisconsin sometime in the near future.

It's the Jimmy's and the Joe's.

How hard is it to do that?

It's not the exoticness of it. It's the threat of have three terrific athletes that can put you into a bind on how to defend it.

With no other WR threats on the field and a new running game? He might lead UGA in yardage but it will be around 500 yards

Didn’t realize there were so many low lifes here. Guess I should have expected it from fans from the state of Loseianna. Fuk you all and best wishes to Arik. Hope he gets to face Loser S U some day.

Oregon State and Stanford run this quite often. Oregon State used Teagan Quitoriano, Luke Musgrave with Jake Overman or Tommy Spencer last year. Quitoriano was drafted in the last class, Luke Musgrave has a 3rd round grade going into next year's class and Jake Overman/Tommy Spencer look really good as underclassmen. UW runs a lot of 22 as well as well as Cal with a fullback.

Oregon will most likely defend it out of base personnel. Either we have the Jimmy's and Joe's to stop it or we don't. It's not really that complicated. With Oregon State, we effectively stopped their run. Against Utah and their three tight ends, we didn't.

The good news for Oregon is they have some really big twitchy ILBs, OLBs and Safeties that are healthy vs. last year against Utah. If Oregon can't match up with your OL, 11 vs. 13 personnel won't matter much.

How long did it take you to dream up that, “LSU was to blame and Georgia didn’t have time to fix the damage”story. The guy has had some serious mental heath issues and has needed help, which everyone should support. Maybe Georgia should have recognized that he wasn’t ready before throwing him right back into the limelight in order to try and take advantage of his talent.

deeprig9 you left out a few things about the Arik Gilbert saga. After quitting at LSU, he transferred to the University of Florida. Then he quit there and returned to LSU. Then he quit there and returned to LSU. But he quit again and decided that Georgia was the place for him. Why do you knuckleheads think he won't quit at UGA when Bowers gets most of the snaps. You're welcome to the quitter.

My God the spin doctoring about this kid is mind blowing.

UGA was his 3rd choice but their fans want to bend over and lick his shoes clean every time he takes a step.

Arik is not a man of high character. He’s already been given more assistance in every way than I received my entire life. Hope he gets it together.

I've seen Georgia posters going and and saying there will be 4 TEs on the field.

I don't doubt you have, but outside of goal line, I can't imagine us running 4 TE sets. Like I said....goal line and short yardage maybe. But not as a normal set.

Looking forward to our game coming up, btw.
