Finebaum just said that it came from A&M. And he also noted that A&M's A.D. was the only A.D. present for Media Days, and was the first in years. A coincidence? Why would A&M kick start this story? FWIW, Finebaum also said, from collective sources he's talked to in the last day & half, it's a done deal, a deal that's been in the works for a while. Also...."unless the ACC brings in Notre Dame, it's on life support".

General consensus from the Texas boards is this is a Hail Mary by Aggie to try and get this stopped.

Bjork realizing how powerless he is to stop it.

The desperation was apparent.

A&M was hoping that all the fans would be up in arms about this like the Europeans did a few months ago when the powers that be tried to create the Super League over there, but it only worked with their fans.

Incorrect, Brent Z said it came from Texas.

Shockingly, Finebaum likes to stir up shite.

I mean, duh?

The report tweet was literally written by the Houston Chronicle's A&M beat reporter.

I've said this in multiple threads, but A&M leaked this story as a last ditch effort to kill it.

To try and stop it obviously.

Eh, at the very least we made it harder for OU and Texas to get through all of this.

Because of the leak they will probably have to placate some state politicians they would have preferred to blindside, and the buyout to the GOR they have to pay the Big 12 to get out early will be bigger than if they could have for sure gotten the SEC deal done first.

Beyond that you have to move on. Happy our AD defended our interests and we look forward to beating them on the field.

And you and all your nutless brethren have called Looch a lying phaggot since he has been in business.

Don't know what to tell you, the writer of the fkg article said his source was tx.

I don't give a frick. If you poosays think you can hang with us inbred dumbasses from the SEC ...come on and bring it.

ACC is in great shape right now. The only leagues in an arguably better position are the Big 10 and SEC.

The big 12’s collapse has been seen as inevitable for the past decade, and the Pac 12 is looking somewhat unstable as well.

The group of 5 was feeling okay from the expanded playoffs discussion, but are probably suddenly looking over their shoulders wondering if they’re about to all get left out of a 64 team super league. Now, they’re all wondering who’s about to jump ship where. American and Mountain West will be watching realignment very closely while the CUSA and Mac are on the brink of collapse and the Sunbelt looks to elevate itself somehow.
