Perhaps they don't care, as those players were never pros.

Maybe not. It's not that big of a issue for us as our signee wasn't going to be a starter

I'd sincerely hope that no one was planning on starting players they signed a week before kickoff

I guess the celebrations from other fans is amusing. I won’t speak for the loudest LSU shite talkers on the rant but it made no sense to me allowing pro’s to come back (sport agnostic).

IMO, blame the NCAA for mishandling this for decades leading up to this point. What a cluster

EDIT: As a LSU fan I guess I wasn’t exactly hyped about any of the players we were adding. Unless I have purple/gold glasses on none would be starters

How come LSU and their fans are upset? Also some LSU fans were saying they got a good player that shall help LSU.

This is how I feel about the whole thing. I’m cool with them shutting the door on this. Just don’t love how messy CFB and MBB has gotten because of decades of NCAA stupidity

I believe I answered about the loudest posters on the rant

Help as in help with depth? Yeah for sure but I doubt any serious LSU fan thought “wow, here comes another natty” based on these players

My guy, no one gives a shite whether these guys come back and play.

The few LSU fans who seem to be “dug in” on the idea are simply trolling, no different than the other fan base reps here. LOL

It’s all one giant troll fest.

Maybe, but the first item says declared for or didnt properly withdraw.

So a senior doesnt need to apply, if they didn't withdraw then wouldn't that apply to them as well making them ineligible by this new rule?

It was pretty obvious LSU was taking those guys to keep them off other SEC rosters.

Exhibit A - LSU didn’t need a tight end. Exhibit B - Lane said Ole Miss and other SEC schools were trying to get the players.

It’s a luxury you have with a +$50M roster.

Lane also said someone tried to run him off the road leaving Oxford (not true), lane also told his wife in front of a priest he'd forsake all others (HUGE LIE)... maybe we can't always take lane at his word

You dummies lied about the FBI coming in to sweep for bugs due to that big meanie Lane

Todd Monken lied about Lane calling him

Here's what's true. You dipsticks promoted your mediocre DC to replace your most successful coach ever lol

At least as it relates to the 2022s…

The policy is stupid and it makes me wonder if the SEC has any decent lawyers. For example, consider two class of 2022 football players who finished their 4 years of eligibility last January. Their college career was done according to existing rules. The first one wants to continue playing football so he trains hard and tries to get drafted or somehow make a 2026 season NFL roster, but fails. The second one decides he has no future in football, so he immediately starts looking for a regular job. Which one does the new SEC rule announcement penalize; the one who wanted to continue playing football. Which one do they allow to return to the SEC; the one who was calling it quits.

Sankey should be fired for allowing that to be published. That inconsistent statement makes it appear that he's trying to pick winners and losers and the result is illogical nonsense presented as "policy". His team is gonna cost the SEC a lot of money if they're not careful.
