You guys can run your mouths all you want about titles but TV people don't care. All they care about is eyes on their TV product. ESPN is broke and you cannot expand if you wanted to. The B1G is holding all the cards in this game.

You know who cares about titles? Every fanbase in college football, not TV money they’ll never enjoy

What?
My only hope and desire is that all the other conferences expand to 20+ teams while we boot Texas and OU back out to slum among them.

Biggish 10ish might not actually have a TV deal.
And what is the big10’s identity? It’s not a football school, only tOSU and Michigan take it seriously. 3-4 games a year casual fans will gout of their way to watch at best.
It’s not a baseball league, America’s past time doesn’t have foothold in the Big 10. It’s not a basketball league by any stretch.
I guess it’s got wrestling and hockey that no one east of the Mississippi follows.
At best they are a heel to the SEC. Oregon would have been a great addition when Nike was king but that time was passed. USC and UCLA add brand names but anyone California isn’t what it was. Outside of that what is impressive about the conference.
It’s a better brand but not much better product than the big 12 now.

ESPN is broke.
Hmmm. Interesting.
You might want to check the financials.
Fact: In the first half of 2023, Disney’s cable networks division, led by ESPN and its sister channels, generated $14 billion in revenue and $3 billion in profit.
Lol at the notion that ESPN is broke. ESPN isn’t going anywhere, regardless who owns it.

I think the SEC has a few cards of its own (see Alabama, see Texas, see Georgia, see LSU, see Florida, see Oklahoma, see Texas A&M)
Quit being jealous of what the SEC has built.

Lol talking about eyeballs watching...last season there were 9 SEC teams in the top 25 of average viewers. 6 B1G teams. Even adding Oregon, USC, and UCLA (which weren't in the B1g) you still only tie. Add in Texas and OU to the SEC's count and its still more than the B1G.
It's cute talking about your TV money though.
