But insisting all conferences must have identical rules simply because they compete in the NCAA shows you have a fundamental misunderstanding of how college athletics is organized.
You are right, I have never claimed to be an NCAA eligibility expert.
Major eligibility rules for athletes are pretty unified from my understanding? What would some of the differences be between conferences, as far as eligibility goes?

And the temporary court order permitted Bediako to participate despite those restrictions
No it didn't.
Bediako's TRO only covered the NCAA.
Nothing barred the SEC from preventing Alabama from allowing Bediako to participate in team activities and was within their authority to levy penalties against Alabama for doing so.

If your argument is that Alabama violated a separate conference rule that wasn't covered by the order

The question is where that legal limit lies and whether the SEC has exceeded it

Telling me to read another thread doesn't establish where that limit is or how the SEC crossed it

Then cite the specific SEC bylaw or court order that categorically prevents disciplinary action against LSU

not another thread

The SEC is voluntary

LSU is trying to gaslight people by claiming they never intended or worked to do something they very clearly did and would have done if the SEC hadn't' filed the lawsuit.
We get it.
Your feelings are hurt. Wake me up when LSU actually violates a rule.

LSU definitely wanted to roster those players. They hoped they would become eligible. Just like Ole Miss wanted Trinidad eligible, along with countless other schools that have looked and are still looking to get eligibility waivers for players. There is no debate to that at all.
In the middle of it all, the SEC put a new rule in place with stiff penalties.
LSU decided the juice wasn't worth the squeeze and did not roster the players.
Decisions were made as circumstances changed and advanced.
In the end, no violation occurred. I know you wished LSU did do something to warrant punishment, but as of now, all you got is
"they considered rostering those players!"
Good Luck.

It's fun to watch all the goalpost moving and punching air every time LSU doesn't back down and Sankey opens his fricking mouth.

He thinks the lawsuit is what kept it from happening.
The lawsuit is pretty inconsequential and will likely be thrown out, it was always just posturing.
The potential for SEC penalties and the CFP committee balking at pro players is what actually kept LSU from playing Wright and Harris.
