Also notice you’ve gone out of your way to avoid acknowledging the Missouri TRO announced today.
Why is that?
Always in bad faith this guy.
1. Because it's irrelevant to the discussion.
2. I've never once defended any TRO's. Not a single one.
3. I don't give a frick about basketball.

3down10 is incapable of having an honest debate.
It's hilarious to watch him jump between "LSU should follow the rules", to "I know LSU didn't break any rules but they should be punished anyways because I don't like them."

Name it then.
1. Harris and Wright win TROs.
2. TRO becomes injunction
3. SEC doesn’t even vote to punish LSU, much less expel
4. Federal lawsuit delayed, motion to dismiss in process
5. Harris and Wright + 40 Pyburn plaintiffs file contempt motion against the SEC and Sankey — pending failure of the federal suit.
That’s a whole lot of being right

LSU has considerably less leverage than some of its fans seem to believe.
If LSU violated a rule in which expulsion is warranted, you would be correct.
If the SEC kicked LSU out and did not follow its own bylaws, then LSU would have tremendous leverage.

It wasn't an argument it was an answer to your question.
Genius.

This makes zero sense as a retort to this:
“LSU fans haven’t been right about anything”

Not even a cogent thought following any sort of logic. You continue to embarrass yourself.

LSU is probably the only school in the SEC that has a conservitive administration and the rest of the presidents hate it.We are not followers ,we see the way thingss are and if we don’t agree we speak up.Thats not how liberals do things in this country.YOU EITHER tow their line or they ostracize you.

You claimed shite like the lawsuit being delayed after LSU complied as you being right.

Outed yourself as a retard.

When the conference objected, the dispute ended up in federal court.
The conference objected. LSU said it would abide by the conference rules. Then the conference proactively brought the dispute to federal court.

Read the lawsuit.
I have.
quote:
It's about whether a conference has the authority to enforce its own rules
Well good thing LSU has already stated unequivocally in public statements and written correspondence to the conference that the SEC has such authority and that LSU would abide by such authority.
quote:
I'd say the same thing if Alabama were doing this.
Alabama DID do this and faced no repercussions. When asked if he would do it again, your basketball coach said, and I quote, "100%" worth it . . . I would do the same thing 100 times out of 100 . . ."
quote:
If LSU continues challenging the authority
All legal matters between LSU and the SEC have been instigated by the SEC. No action challenging the authority of the SEC has been brought by LSU.

You're little schtick would hit harder if you didn't have to completely lie about the circumstances. I get this is a bit, but it's lame to put so much into something that falls apart in your first sentence or two.

This isn't about whether NCAA eligibility rules are fair. It's about whether a conference has the authority to enforce its own rules. If it doesn't, what's the point of having a conference
This reads as if conferences have different rules within themselves? Maybe they do, idk. But what would the point of all the conferences playing in the same league if they don't abide by the same rules? That would be absolutely fricking stupid.
The fact still remains that former professional players have never been allowed to play in the NCAA(not in our lifetime atleast), and Alabama had a professional player play in 5 games. No ifs ands or buts about it. While you have this take that "thats not the actual issue"... When frankly, that is THE issue behind all of it, as well as the definition of a professional athlete.
You're entire post reeks of whiny bitch

You're confusing acknowledging the SEC's authority with conduct that demonstrates respect for it. LSU's written assurances are relevant but they don't automatically resolve the conference's concerns about institutional control. And the fact that the SEC filed the lawsuit doesn't mean LSU's conduct couldn't have prompted it. Those are two different things.
As for Alabama, Bediako played under a temporary court order and Alabama stopped playing him when that protection ended. If you believe Alabama violated the same conference obligations under comparable circumstances, make that case. I'd support holding Alabama to the same standard.
The larger question still is whether the SEC has sufficient grounds under its governing documents to take action against LSU. LSU saying it recognizes conference authority doesn't settle that question.
