The SEC is overly saturated with quality programs

The current format is great for the "conference pride" types, but it's not great for college football in general when thinking about the long run.
Do you really want two or three super conferences and a 20+ team playoff?
The sport needs to find a way of balancing regions during the next realignment carousel.
Also: The NE and West Coast schools need to start building a football culture again.
Why does the state of New York not have a premier CFB program? What is Pennsylvania doing?
Dafuq is the state of California doing?

New York isn’t a particularly talent rich state. Syracuse is very from from NYC anyway, and I don’t think many care about Cuse in that city anyway
Pennsylvania has Penn State
California doesn’t have a great team now, I believe Oregon and Washington takes alot of their talent.

The state of New York is pathetic when it comes to high school blue chips. As many people live in that state, it’s mainly basketball, hockey and lacrosse as far as high school into college athletes. New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland all have much more in the lines of high school football talent.
Pennsylvania has the Nittany lions, who may never get back to the glory days of Paterno (pre sexual abuse scandal), they get enough talent from Ohio and Maryland and Virginia to stay competitive

California cares about pro teams (Dodgers, Lakers, 49ers), insert more teams.
Hockey is very popular up north, along with pro teams.
In comparison, several SEC states do not have pro sports teams nor could care less about hockey. It what it is.

The SEC is what a football conference should look like. 10 Respectable teams, involved fanbases, and several contenders. Good rivalries and upsets. Every other conference has maybe 2 good teams and the rest are cannon fodder.

Losers. I wish nothing but misery and defeat for every other team in this conference.

Cali has tons of if not majority of talent. But no one puts a premium on football in that state, really no one puts a premium emphasis on sports in general in that state. But talent is not an issue

California males have been feminized.
Weak girly boys with painted nails don't win titles.

CT doesn't care about hs nor college sports either. (Well, UConn bb was starting to cool off when I lived there.)
It's split between Boston & NY pro teams.
I remember when the Red Sox were playing the Skankees & I was the only person in the entire office not pulling for either team.

This isn’t unique to the states. The people in Sweden are pissed because they have basically given the females all the power. What a fuct up world

It is just temporary over there.
Islamists will fix that for them in a decade or so.
They fricked.

Losing population for about the 50th year in a row.
Good enough base to produce some good talent, but not really great.
Penn State is always solid, Pitt goes back and forth between supporting athletics and not, depending on the chancellor. Temple? I don’t know what they do.

Doesn't matter what anyone wants, we already have 2 super conferences, one with 3-5 teams and the other with 12 or so who are simply playing a different game. There ain't going to be no balancing act, if you ain't committed now you are behind the 20 or so programs spread out across the country who are and you ain't going to catch up without some major effort that most other programs have not shown a tendency to be interested in.
