You should definitely hope you join a conference. I think it might be too late for yall to join the B1G or SEC though. You dont even get that many viewers anymore, outside of the Miami game the average SEC team leaped you in every game viewer wise. Yall need to play more real teams. Playing teams that have a outside chance of winning is way different than playing a bunch of pansies. Its hard to take a schedule seriously where Pitt is one of your best teams... I just watched Pitt lose a bowl game against a G5 team whose star QB sat out...

The game has changed and getting the best players is no longer as important. The SEC certainly cheats, but that isn't the reason it no longer dominates like it did.

The SEC has become soft and the Big Ten has surpassed them, just accept it and strive to get better

Michigan and Ohio State would never pay players illegally

Problem is when we schedule teams....its way far in advance and since we're not in a conference....our schedule is all over the place. So when we schedule say....Florida State.....they were a top 10 team at the time and when we played them they sucked arse. We scheduled Clemson when they were winning titles and look at them now. You cant tell whats gonna happen. Thats another reason i want to join a conference because I miss rivalries and would like the continuity. We had regular games every year against Michigan and USC and now those are gone.

Just look how far ahead we schedule.....its out of our control how teams are gonna do and how hard or soft our schedule is gonna be. In 2029, we have Texas, Alabama and Clemson....we scheduled all those teams when they were at the top. In 2030, we open the season with Indiana and Alabama....who knows what Indiana will be by then?

It’s really just the portal that spread out the talent. Kids knew it didn’t matter if they sat out 3y at Bama or LSU or Georgia, because they would play their 4th year and then get drafted in first 4 rounds. Now that’s no longer the case. Makes it impossible to have some of those rosters Bama had in the past or Georgia etc. Took three first rounders on the Oline + Deshaun Watson to give Bama a run for its money which is wild.

Dont listen, but you sir are the idiot. You still do not get what is going down in CFB. Now no team can keep players 4 years, especially back ups, now no team can DISCIPLINE PLAYERS, no problem for you soft yanks you never had discipline, Harbaugh brought some in and they ran him off.

Now those same teams like Bama, Georgia have to deal with CHAOS like jealousy of teammates, with some making more than others etc. You did not rise, the rest of CFB fell because of the freaking CHAOS brought to us by Yankee and California Courts.

If you cant see the facts then you are the ignorant one. This is not good football, these players who were 5 Star studs have got their BANKROLL, their hunger is not there, meanwhile teams that are not able to pay as much in some cases can keep HUNGER to get BETTER so they can GET PAID. The Courts ruined the game.

We once had a mini NFL with about 10-15 teams, now its more like Major League Baseball and Double A Baseball, the chaos has lowed all boats instead of raising all boats. 2011 Bama would crush Indians by 50. But now they got that PAY DAY, they all fat and lazy. Instead of working out they out in the nightlife hanging out.

Lmao. Using Harbaugh as a shining example of any positive attributes is definitely a choice. Especially after being found complicit in a tainted championship which only happened because of illegal surveillance tactics from several assistant coaches and a few scouts.

Flip the script. Big Ten couldn’t compete until they could buy players.

You read all that and the only dingbat answer is to cite a Harbaugh notion, lol that is too funny. If you think CFB is better for all this BS these New York Cali courts brought than you are living in la la land.

Instead of Kirby or Saban (who retired because of this horse-crap) being able to mold young boys into young men, we now have FREE FOR ALL CHAOS, You and Indiana did not get better, the system just robbed the people who knew how to promote young boys into grown men with one cause, and with one mind, instead, EVERY YEAR you got players switching damned teams, which creates chances for average teams to rise WHY? You have created chaos who Kirby can't keep players around for 4 years.

Its like letting ALL of the NFL players swap every year, that would also bring stupid chaos. It boggle my mind that people watching football for years (60 for me) can't see that these teams all suck. I saw how many 3-0 and 7-3 halftime games?

2011 Bama woud stomp everyone of these teams by 50.

SEC fans literally cannot understand that now that paying players can be done openly, it's just a coincidence that the SEC is, at best, on par with other conferences. By the way, that's generous to the SEC. The SEC's bowl record speaks for itself.

You can't ignore the primary factor of southern talent. Yes, there's big talent everywhere, but the abundance of HS talent, without the portal, had more players willing to sit at a program with the "next man up" mindset. Now, freshmen can get paid AND get playtime.

Players were getting paid everywhere. They have been since long before the SEC era of dominance.

Very excited to see what happens from here on out

I'm a big believer that if you have the fundamentals, you'll do much better than the Mickey Mouse teams like Auburn (and now Tennessee & Alabama).

Sincerely hope that Lane doesn't take LSU down that path. To win, the most important squad he has to oversee building: defense. He seemed to have done it at Ole Miss where Golding was able to flourish.

I just find it hilarious Cam continues to act like he wasn’t paid

And the fact that he looks like that on national television
I accidentally spit out my coffee when I went back and actually watched video after reading this comment

Then laughed again every time I looked back at him. Zero chance I could take that dyke serious if I met him in real life

Southern talent is a myth. Let’s call it for what it really is, simply having many more African Americans living in rural communities. Football is life for them because
1. There is nothing else to do
and
2. It’s seen as their only way out
