I agree, and not just the schedule l, but the degree of injuries on the OL and at Rb and dismissals at Wr have had. We havnt even found our identity yet. We are very fortunate to be 6-2. I am a huge Bama fan for the remainder of the season, we need no part of the seccg this year, need the time off lol

Agreed. UGA needs to get healthy.

At the very least, Texas, Ole Miss, or Bama has to lose a game.

As a Dawg, I honestly hope we don't get to that stupid SEC championship and get to rest and recover a month.

As a UGA fan I would prefer UGA be left out of the SECCg and as the proud owner of 4 SECCg tickets I am hoping it’s Texas and ATM in the SECCg. Both schools brag non stop about how their fans are all bazillionaires and money is meaningless to them so I fully expect if those 2 make it my tickets will be worth at least $8k but may push $12 k or more. Got just under $8k for them in 2021 so $8k ain’t out of the question.

That Texas vs Texas A&M game is going to pull monster ratings.. crazy that we both are on top of the standings right now for the first game in 13

Elimination game. It’ll be very interesting.

The Vols hold the tiebreaker over Bama. If both teams win out Bama cannot bypass Tennessee.

Possible matchups are

Texas/A&M vs Bama (most likely)
Bama vs Georgia (needs A&M loss to the barn then beat the shorthorns)

If Bama loses Georgia is in the SECCG. There’s exactly one scenario Ole Miss gets in to play Georgia, and that requires almost every upset between now and the end of season.

It’s because of there being multiple teams tied.

I’d rather Bama sit and prep for the playoffs.

I get that. It would be cool for you guys.

I think my dawgs are too beat up and need some recovery time, plus they aren't looking like they would have an easy time in it.

The advantage of not having a bye might be getting, hopefully, a patsy that would shake the rust off after a month.

I wonder what the records are going to be like for teams getting a bye? It will be interesting to look at in a few years. Maybe, they will be perfect, or maybe there will be unexpected upsets.
This is all uncharted territory, as in real playoffs with byes and home field advantages.

But like you say it will be very interesting to see how this all pans out. Not just this year, but at least over a 4 year period where trends start to develop.

This is pansy talk. If Texas is going to win the SEC in their first season, they better pry it from Bama’s cold dead hands in the SECCG (dead as in our playoff hopes, and 3 loss teams don’t deserve to play for NC anyway).

“Give them nothing. But take from them, Everything!”

Who honestly would've thought Texas and A&M would be at the top of the standings with two games left and potential to play each other for a spot in the SECCG.

They had the two easiest schedule in the conference. Not such a big surprise when you realize that.

As of now, they have played a combined 3 ranked teams and lost to all of them badly.

Unfortunately for the SEC, if, by some miracle, A&M were to win out and win the SEC Championship game (hey, humor me for my scenario), then the SEC will have completely wasted a first round bye in the playoffs, as they will get beat handily by whomever they play. Doesn't matter who. They'll get beat. Sucks for the SEC.

I can see it. State and Gator fans everywhere including Momentoftruth87 will get a big smile.

But there is always a chance Kiffin doesn’t make the same mistake as he did against Kentucky with the players not ready to play. Our defensive line leads the country in sacks for a reason.

I think Florida has a very real chance to do just that based on Florida being much improved and Kiffen and big game experience....and the fact that it may be difficult to convince Ole Miss that Florida is, indeed, capable of winning the game.

On the other hand losing will not only suck, but give us a disadvantage in the playoffs.

Texas is in the playoffs with an SECCG a loss, but if you lose to A&M without a single top 25 win it’s unlikely they would make the playoffs which is wild considering they’re top 3 FEI right now.
