After Mullen left the cupboard was bare and Moorhead never got traction in that department. Leach is going to have to go and camp out in Scooba to grab himself some talent fast. He will attract some real QB talent on reputation alone. He needs to find a real good DC.

I love it. Make it so. Tell him Kirby will be happy to give him pointers.

Doubt he wins much unless he can get a roster that fits his style

Gus - who has had 7 years to implement his players and offense - losing to a first year PAC12 goofball would be the nail in the coffin.

I can see it. He’s a better offensive mind than Gus.

If true, saban may actually retire early. I doubt he will like losing to Pirate and Gus on a reasonably consistent basis.

7 Years at WSU what was his record against Washington. I heard 0-7, but that cannot be right

It isn't right. He beat Washington in his first season.

I could see it. I mean, anything is possible I guess. Our best CB left for the draft and we lose a couple seniors in the secondary. We are young on the back end but the young guys do have some significant playing time under their belts. Honestly I don't see it happening this upcoming season.

With Leach's love of airing it out, the secondaries of every team on State's schedule better be on their game. That is if he can get a grad transfer QB to come to Starkville. The ones they have on the roster now don't scare anyone throwing the ball.

You don't think SEC DCs will study film from his days at Tech and up in Pullman? And once they study said film, don't you think they will put together a plan to try and stop it?

Nah, they will probably just line up in base D and see how it goes, huh?

If that 2018 season didn't get his arse canned, then I doubt anything will at this point.

Wouldn’t be a shock if it happened. We might lose to a few new coaches.... and old coaches.

The sec’s all time leading rusher for a QB, a 1,000 yard back and three first rounders on defense ain’t a bare cupboard. Joe moe just didn’t know how to use it

No. Just because I posted what I did, doesn't mean I want Gus fired. Despite 3 wins vs Saban I want Gus to have a lifetime contract at Auburn. Gus @ Auburn means Auburn is a perpetual 3-4 or 5 loss team.

My post was based on how I'd feel if I was an Auburn fan.

I think you're right on target. If I were a betting man I'd lay down large on State.

Gus will screw that game up trying to prove he's smarter than the Pirate. (Confidentially, he ain't.)

Really?

Gus who was in his 6th yr and had implemented his players and offense lost to two 1st yr HC's in 2018 and nary a nail was pounded into that coffin. If he's allowed to pull a salary while losing to the likes of Joe Moorehead and Jeremy Pruitt then it's doubtful your Admin will give him grief for losing to Pirate.

This could be true. The schedule isn't as tough next year, so hopefully things will improve. When you are playing one of the toughest schedules year in and year out, it makes things rough at times.
