frick balance. Needs to be purely geographical or someone is getting help because they're terrible.

Absolutely. Whether conference or pod if UT, AM, OU and Mizzou aren't together it's going to look like one of those schools is getting off easy.
It's not LSU's fault that them with the MS schools and Arky make the most sense geographically.
Rivalries are dying every year. New ones have to be made with the reshuffle.
If AM isn't with UT in a pod or conference they should be dogged for forever. I'll basically back UT over AM out of principle for that kind of weak shite.

BAMA will never be in the East, never.

That would be like a top 12 game every week. Whoever won that division just give them the NC

9 game schedule every 8 years if there are. No permanent cross opponents. If you have a permanent one it’s back to every 16.
With Bama and Auburn in the east and a 9 game conference schedule there’s no need for permanent cross division games.

This is accurate. With a 9 game conference schedule, no need for perm rivals.
Not enough people realize that with UT/OU joining that other teams are going to get affected as well.
What was the outcry when Tulane and Georgia Tech left?

And pods make it highly likely you play a team 3 times in a year with a 12 team playoff...I'm a no on pods
For Texas, that would happen how often? Once every 40 years?

The only cross rival left out is LSU vs Florida and no cajun honestly wants this to continue even now.
But at least 9 conference games is a must to weed through 16 teams.

Don’t speak for us, Gump.
You hillbillies have been holding progress up for 30 years because of your nobody G’sAF rivalry.

The rivalries are dying.
Have to create new geographic ones.
The nonsense of moving teams around for whatever reason- balance, history, is over.
Draw a line down AL/MS and that is your two division conference. OR something similar with pods.
The one thing I think shouldn't happen under any circumstance are in state teams. NO way you split up UT/AM. That looks weak as shite.

This is what I proposed back in July:
quote:
8 west
8 east
7 games in division
4 games in other division (rotates to where you play every non-division team every 2 years) - NO PERMANENT OPPONENTS are necessary because the real ones will be within the divisions)
1 non-conference, Ga/Ga. Tech, USCe/Clemson, Fla/FSU, etc.

Here's what it'll look like:
West: Arkansas, LSU, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Missouri, Oklahoma, Texas and Texas A&M
East: Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, South Carolina, Tennessee and Vanderbilt
PS- another plus is all the games will have some significance....none of that Akron or Alabama STATE crap!

I would rather drop cupcake games and play as many games in conference to keep just two divisions. If we go to pods, it will end most years in controversy than not. Are we going to do a 3 game conference championship? Pods are stupid and anyone for them hasn't thought about all the problems that pods would bring.

Play your 3 division game and 6 others. In 4 years you play at every school's place and they come to you.

I would be ok with pods if there was a 12 team playoff and no CCG

This would be the most sensible way to do it so expect this to get canned.

UT + UK + VU + UF

This makes the most sense. But auburn and UGA hate it.
