East:
Tennessee
Kentucky
Florida
S. Carolina
Georgia
Vanderbilt
Alabama
Auburn

(Why? Because this fits their classic place in the conference anyway)

West:

Ole Miss
LSU
MSU
Arkansas
Texas A&M
Mizzou
Texas
Oklahoma

In this format, Ole Miss would easily win the West at least half of the time. I'm all for it.

I like whatever division that makes us play everyone every 3 years or so.

With an 8 game conference schedule you go to the place in the East every 16 years.

9 game schedule every 8 years if there are. No permanent cross opponents. If you have a permanent one it’s back to every 16.

It should be every team is in a pod of 4, you play your 3 plus 2 from each pod. Next year you play the other 2. This way you get to play everyone every 2 years as at their place every 4.

In order to make auburn happy you could do each team gets 3 permanent opponents and simply rotates the rest. You’d still play everyone every other year and at their place every 4, but I feel this would result in seriously unbalanced schedules where as the pods you could manipulate to be very balanced.

And pods make it highly likely you play a team 3 times in a year with a 12 team playoff...I'm a no on pods

No matter how they do it there will be things to like and dislike about it. Some teams will like it and some will hate it. I do prefer two divisions. But, I would rather be with the teams in the East which I doubt would happen. So, I'm sort of torn on the whole situation.

I wouldn't use the North South naming...it's a touchy subject apparently

I did the pods a while back trying to make them as even as possible and maintain as many rivalries as possible.

The fact that auburn has dedicated, historic rivalry games with both bama and UGA was “problematic” for auburn and UGA fans.

You would play 3 in your pod, and most likely 2 from every other pod. So LSU and Alabama could play regular season...only have one loss, get in title game, and most likely a 2 loss SEC team gets in a 12 team playoff or if the other team loses, you have 2 one loss SEC teams...who could meet in a playoff game
