I thought I would hate the lights but I actually have grown to love them.

I was the same way. They definitely look good though.

When they install the new expansion, I got word last night that the other end will have a MSU sized scoreboard

I don't understand the obsession with this. I find the corner "jumbo-trons" to be far more appealing. I don't go to games to watch TV.

Wonder what it will look like without the trees? Guess we'll find out soon.

This is the NEZ - no upper deck is planned to be built there (at least not for the forseeable future - maybe just suites); so, the trees that you see in the pics will not be affected whatsoever.
It is the SEZ that will have an upper deck and suites added by 2014. But not at the expense of any trees.
(Unless you meant this as an Updyke takeoff :)

They will have both. But since one endzone will be left open from the upper deck, it doesn't make sense to have 2 corner screens when 1 larger one in the middle will do just fine.

Looks really good - and way past time for improvements. The lights remind me of the lights on the Super Bowl stadium in January - purple/gold ~ red/white. Looks nice.

Anything new and shiny looking in Louisiana just seems out of place. It should be a requirement for all trees to have spanish moss hanging from them and the surface of all buildings, including the stadium, have chipped paint and vines growing over them.

Death Valley should be scary, not happy.

It does look better though.
