Maybe he will, maybe he won’t. Let’s see first.

I’ll get downvoted for saying this, but I don’t see how LSU transfers this offense to next season. Burrow is playing at an unreal level right now. It’ll be nearly impossible to duplicate.

Are you mad you were wrong? Just admit you didn’t realize Cams rushing stats were included

It isn’t hard to admit mistakes

We won’t

But nobody likely ever will. I just hope we still stay explosive on offense

Obv. you’re splitting hairs picking between Burrow this year and Cam in 2010. Would argue Burrow has a much better cast around him, as well as better offensive coaches. Cam did it all by himself

Let’s be realistic though. Auburn’s defense won A LOT of those games for them. They had a lot of close, low scoring games. But yes, Cam WAS their offense.

We’re 3 pages deep and half the replies ITT are from you.

Cam was still better btw, none of your edited posts can change that

Doubt you will ever see it again from any team but that doesn’t mean LSU can’t be very very good next year. It will take more of a “group effort” from both the offense and defense.

I’ll call it now. Next years SEC west winner will be a 1 loss team.

Cam had 3.64TDs/g (he had a receiving TD in 2010) but everything else looks right. We’ll see if Burrow can finish it out. He’s been beyond impressive this season

Mercy... Elite poster [sand]mountainDvalues has effectively derailed this thread.

Btw, are you expecting any snowfall in Mur-uh-vul this week? We might pick up a few inches in the Middle T

You keep talking about edited posts

But dude, you quoted me in your post with cams numbers with rushing stats included, and then said we need to also think about his rushing numbers

You look moronic

I edited my quote to match your edited post, as any poster with integrity would.

Looks to me Tebow has more TDs per game and same amount of INTs per game.

And he also did it without any of this no huddle hurry up nonsense.

Have you ever considered taking the time to include all relevant info into one post?

Tigerdroppings (myself included) would still be melting about that if it happened against us in an Alabama game.

That doesn’t change the stats.

The official: Which QB had the best season in SEC history thread?*

In context of how offenses were run and the rules that have benefited offenses in modern football?

Because I don't think you can really compare the era of Archie Manning vs Peyton Manning vs Joe Burrow.

If we're looking at doing the most with the least amount of talent around them, Tim Couch has to get some consideration. Dude threw for over 4000 yards in the 90s while playing for Kentucky. KENTUCKY.

None of this diminishes what Joe has accomplished, but at some point you have to look at it and realize it has almost become and apples to oranges kind of comparison.

Also, be wary of using averages as the ONLY metric. Tua had a better TD-to-Att ratio and a better YPA.

No, Tua did not have a better season and NO I'm not saying he was the better QB. I am saying that if you go by averages, if Tua had thrown it as much as Joe and the averages held he'd have ended up with 57 TDs and 4961 yards (and another 3 rushing TDs).

To clarify though, as I am sure someone will interpret this incorrectly:

Joe had an amazing season and deserves all the accolades he's getting. Heisman, top draft pick, you name it. He's got 1-2 more games to go to cement his legacy.

I honestly don't know? I think I lean towards Tebow because of the sheer dominance and he played arguably better defenses consistently and went to school.

Now cam individually was well just insane. His surrounding offense wasn't stellar to say the least. So to produce numbers like that by himseld is just crazy.

JB was what you can almost call perfection when it came to passing. He also has extremely good talent around him but I don't want that to be an excuse to hurt him if anything it only help cams argument.
