They will start him and let him keep his normal routine. Cap him at ab 75 pitches then bring in Hurd.

He hasn't come in relief all year and is on record as not liking it. Hurd on the other hand has come in as RP regularly

LSU fans have to hope his stuff is on and he is efficient. 4-5 shutout innings would be fantastic.

He will likely start and will pitch until he becomes ineffective. No one knows how long he can go right now. As long as he is throwing close to 100 mph and striking out batters he will stay in. No pitch count cap. As long as he is working his stuff he stays in. Has months to recuperate his arm after tonight

Y’all act like a human can’t pitch on 4 days rest. It will have been 93 hours since his last pitch at game time. Quit acting like you care about the kid. fricking fake arse bitches.

Skenes pitched on 4 days rest last Thursday. That's not in question. What is in question is:

1. Will Skenes pitch on 3 days rest after throwing 120 pitches on 4 days rest?

2. How many pitches will Skenes be on the hook for?

Might give him an inning or two at most.

Dude is otherworldly and a natty is a natty but you gotta think of the future as well.

Wouldn’t start him but if I “needed” to bring him in for a few middle innings that would be my play.

I think he starts. Pros used to start games 1, 4 and 7 in a 7 game series. No reason Skenes doesn’t go.

Skenes can start and throw 120 pitches at least imo. Not ideal, but that's what champions do.

100% you will see him pitch. How long is the question. I say 4 innings at the most.

I will be surprised if he isn’t in the mound when the game begins, but I have no idea how many pitches he will throw.

Is Hurd available?

I don't think you can start Skenes, but it's possible that he could come in as relief late depending on the situation.

I don’t see Skenes pitching in relief. He will start or close, and my money is on the former.

The best thing that could happen for the team as a whole is to see Skenes on the mound. I just think there are players that elevate everyone around them and give them an extra sense of invulnerability. He's been fricking Superman all season, and despite the "norm" when it comes to pitch counts and shite, he may be just fine as frick and throw 100-110 to clinch this shite.

God Tigers!

My guess is it depends on how the game plays out. If it stays close or lsu ahead, Skenes much later. Hurd is my bet to start. Still have Cooper and herring. Those are the only four I expect today with herring being least likely if all goes well.

Another big question

And how effective can Fisher be coming back so soon? I read on tRant he hasnt pitched 2x on 1 weekend very often

Big advantage to the Tigers having gotten extended looks at fisher and neely in game 1

Up to skenes. If he can’t go oh well. Kids gonna make a ton of money. I wouldn’t hold no ill will against him for it. He got us to the championship game.
