Meyer, Mullen and Strong was a pretty good groupa guys.

Addazzio and McCarney were on staff with them and join those guys as current HCs.

Kentucky 1959 had Blanton Collier, Don Shula, Bill Arnsparger, Chuck Knox, Howard Schnellenberger, and John North.

That was the one I was thinking about

I think Collier went 8 for 8 in on UK staff in the pros, 5 as HC's
#1 Ed Rutledge - became a NFL scout
#2 Howard Schnellenberger - Rams, Dolphins, and Colts
#3 Ermal Allen - Cowboys (under Landry) 1962-1983
#4 Blanton Collier - Browns HC (won championship in 64")
#5 Don Shula - Dolphins HC
#6 John North - Saints HC, Falcons AC
#7 Bill Arnsparger - Colt, Dolphins, and Giants
#8 Chuck Knox - Rams, Bills, and Seahawks

Pretty hard to beat that staff.

The 1964 Razorback team was pretty loaded with coaches too-there were 5 positions at that time. In addition to HC Frank Broyles you had Barry Switzer and Johnny Majors who would of course go on to become head coaches and win national championships. There was also Jim Mackenzie who would become OU's head coach in 1966 before passing away after a year and Bill Pace who was Vandy's head coach for a few years before coaching in the pros and at some SEC schools.

And of course Jimmy Johnson and Ken Hatfield were on the '64 team as players.

Off the top of my head, the best staff I remember at Mizzou was Bob Stull's staff that included Andy Reid, Marty Morninweg, Dirk Koetter, Ken Flajole, and Dave Toub-all future NFL HCs and/or coordinators.

That group managed to go 15-38-2 at MU.

Terry Bowden's early staff had some decent coaching talent (made him look way better than he deserved, obviously).

OC - Tommy Bowden
DC - Wayne Hall
QB Coach - Jimbo Fisher
OL - Rick Tricket
LB - Joe Whitt
TE - Rodney Garner (and recruiting coordinator i think)

'64 Arkansas was stacked, but I don't think people really realize how insanely stacked that '77 staff was. Details are below.

'64
HC - Frank Broyles
AC - Johnny Majors
AC - Barry Switzer
AC - Bill Pace (went on to be the HC and AD at Vandy)
AC - Jim McKenzie (went on to be the HC at Oklahoma for one year before dying of a heart attack after the season)

'77
HC - Lou Holtz
DC - Monte Kiffin
GA - Pete Carroll
GA - Dick Bumpas (great DC at TCU)
GA - Pat Ruel (current OL coach for the Seattle Seahawks)
DL C - John Mitchell (current DL coach for the Pittsburgh Stealers)
OL C - Larry Beightol (was the Packers OL coach from 99-05 before finally retiring as Detriot's OL coach in '06)
DB C - John Jenkins (went on to coach in the USFL, Houston, and CFL through 2006)

God that Saban LSU staff was stacked. Currently top to bottom if I had to pick '77 Ark or '01 LSU I'd have to go with '77 Ark because of the total career achievements, but they're also a shite ton older. Who's to say in the next 10 to 20 years that the top to bottom LSU staff won't be even better.

Are you joking here? Regardless, this "outstanding" list is hilarious...couldn't have posted it better myself.

Didn't Arkansas have a team with 4 NFL HOFers under Briles once?

I don't remember the rest of the staff but Gene Stallings had Homer Smith as OC and Bill Oliver as DC at one point.

That is a heck of a combination. Unfortunately, there was dissension in the ranks by then so it never panned out.

No other big names, but our 96' National Championship team had Bob Stoops as the DC.
