re: **2017 Football Recruiting Thread**

For the past couple years we continue to lower the bar on what we consider a "top recruit".... and we continue to whiff at those recruits

I'm not concerned about QB, RB, or WR play right now. Defensively we should be stacked but if injuries mount we could be in trouble... and having Pinero instead of Hardin should double our point production from last year alone.

But I'm VERY concerned about the O-Line. We gave up a D1-worst 45 fricking sacks last year and in week 1 we got abused by one of the worst teams in D1. Spin it however you want but that is a BAD sign.... reminds me a LOT of our team the past few seasons. What happened to the Florida teams that put up 55 points by the end of the 3rd quarter on these phony D1 teams?

24 points against UMass
I think Carpenter and Heyward got caught in a lightning storm together in St. Louis and ended up switching bodies.

Jason Heyward's season last year was ACTUALLY Matt Carpenter and vice versa. It was like a freaky friday type deal.

Recommendations on buying a Mattress?

Posted by broeho on 3/28/16 at 11:48 pm
I'm 24 years old. 6'2 and about 160 lbs if that helps (I know, I'm skinny). I'm looking for a queen sized mattress...

Does anyone have any recommendations? I'm probably not going to buy the most expensive mattress on the market, but I don't have a problem with spending some money. I've heard several people mentioning the Casper Mattress ($850), but I don't know what other good options there are to compare it to..

anyone have any recommendations? Any mattresses to avoid? Any great deals?

gonna go with Jackie Bradley Jr.

at this point in the draft, why not take a flier? I don't think there's anybody else projected to start on opening day with more upside left in this draft...
Any word on Davis? Last I hear he's a GTD but people expect him to play

I would hope not... you could throw in anyone at the AA level or higher and they would be better than Bourn's .592 OPS

but holy shite, we are gonna be hot f'ing trash this year...

Crazy that the braves are gonna be playing all-time scrubs like Michael Bourn and Nick Swisher who have no business being in the big leagues... meanwhile the cubs/dodgers/cardinals/etc. have guys like Soler who could potentially be the centerpiece of the braves lineup but he'll have trouble getting consistent everyday PT

I predict there will be 10 or so Relief Pitchers that will be picked up off waivers more valuable than Vizcaino this year.

Vizcaino has a pretty solid chance of blowing up and becoming waiver fodder himself, in my opinion... His upside is limited on the braves and I think his risk factor is pretty huge given his limited MLB experience and propensity to walk people...

He might end up a decent relief pitcher which I don't really value....

Soler is just another cuban that got hyped too much... I don't doubt that he could be really good but I'm not willing to pay as much as the average person for that possibility... especially after an uninspiring season last year and a lineup that keeps getting more and more crowded

I think I'd rather insert needles into my cock than own the guy who might close for the 50-win atlanta braves

also never been huge on the soler hype, especially with the crowded cubs outfield
