It’s a big money game. Won’t be long until it goes beyond football and basketball. Already started in baseball but going to get much much worse. Lesser sports to follow, blueprint is there.

Stage is set for 6-12 schools to dominate every televised sport. Coming at us like a runaway train.

Meh, Cadeau was run out of UNC, and Mara and Johnson were backups at UCLA and Illinois respectively.
How the F was Mara a backup? A 7' 3" bench warmer? Wow

Congrat's to Michigan and Dusty!

Not a MIchigan fan but am a Dusty fan. He was an assistant at UF and his son Jack played for UF. You guys have a good one.

Michigan has their coach for the near future. Hurley just may be the best coach in college basketball for just keeping it close

Without the transfer portal rules the B1G would've probably never come close to a national title for another 25 years,

What if I told you everyone was allowed to take advantage of the transfer portal rules?

MELT you little crocodile...that's called belt to arse to the entire Tournament field, including a few chump SEpee teams! It's ok to hurt, and it's ok for you to be coping right now!

As for our Victors, right now I'm not sure what I'm more proud of...the fact that we're the best college basketball team in America, OR the fact that we're the first NCAA Basketball Champion in a long time that has all our kids eligible, that can all read & write, and that actually ATTEND all their classes!

Hail to Michigan, baby!

I like coach May. Seems like a decent guy, and he found success within the existing system and by playing by its rules. I gotta give him credit.

The problem isn't the teams taking best advantage, it's obviously the rules.

Every other pro sport constantly employs rules to prevent complete roster musical chairs through collective bargaining. They do so because they learned that it both diminishes fan interest and that someone will always blow up the market in any given year to create an unsustainable financial model.

If college football and basketball don't find a way to do that things will continually escalate.

I can easily imagine the next trend being agents putting groups of 3 or 4 top players together and shopping them to the billionaire that wants to pay the highest for an almost guaranteed Final Four.

some of their transfers have been there multiple years. not unusual for any team to have 2-3 new starters transfer in any given year.

Every team are mercenaries now. With unlimited free agency this is what you have. Could you image the NBA or NFL with zero restrictions on moving?

Yessir. Without the portal and NIL the Big 10 would still be runners up in title games.

It’s why there’s no movement to change this from the government. Too many high ranking Big 10 folks in Washington. They talk about changes to our face and giggle when they walk out. This was setup by the very people I am talking about. Mountains of cash meeting open free agency. This isn’t changing anytime soon. The rest of the country will continue to be blown out in tournaments and playoffs and will like it. It was the only way the Big 10 could become dominant and they knew it. It’s why they pushed for the current setup.

If we’re accusing teams of having hired guns, we should start at Alabama.

And yet both Arizona and Michigan had starters that transferred FROM Alabama. And Michigan’s all-American forward Lendeborg transferred from University of Alabama-Birmingham.

It is clear that you judge everything you see the world in relation to Alabama.

Shocking that post flew over Captain Dolt's head.
