Kentucky has a chance to make the game for the first time.

Ole Miss would make it for the first time IF they win out and the right teams lose.

Could an Ole Miss-Kentucky game result in a stout secondary ticket market?

While I agree, not being in it, but being in the playoff I think would be better, so if I had to choose from the 2, I would choose the playoff.

100% agree with you there. Playoffs are worth more than the SEC championship game now so why risk more injury if you can sit out that week?

Would've been nice to see Florida vs Bama as the last SECCG.

While I want to see LSU make the Playoffs, I have zero desire to see them in the SECCG. Thats become a hollow meaningless game with no upside.

A look at Kentucky’s basketball schedule shows they play Appalachian State at Rupp that afternoon so I’m going to say no from their side. Ole Miss fans will come out of the woodwork for it.

y'all have had enough turns.

It's time for UGA/Kentucky to get a shot.

Well I wouldn't say it has no upside. A conference championship is still very desirable.

UK making it would be cool.
Ole Miss not making it would be funny.

I disagree. Winning the SEC is still a big deal and you are forever the conference champions that year. Otherwise you have to win the NC in order to have something to show for it. UGA won the SEC, but lost to OM. UGA has a big-arse SEC trophy...what does OM have? Nothing. Nobody cares if you win a playoff game.

For example, does anyone care about what Miami did? 5 years from now nobody will even remember. Went all the way to the NC game, but didn't even play in the ACCCG. They have nothing to show for it. Yeah, they won the Cotton and Fiesta Bowls...so what?

But UGA will forever be the 2025 SEC Champions and Duke will forever be the ACC Champs.
