Good Lord. Lawyers love their names in the title of the firm, even if you can't tell who is who.

Its not just “my team” though. I used to watch CFB religiously, for decades. I just loved the game. If a game was on, I watched, even if it wasn’t SEC. And I cant anymore. Because it just isn't CFB anymore. The only programs that ill bother to watch now are the service academies , as they're the only institutions that are resisting this rot. They still exemplify spirit, service and loyalty. For now, anyway.

John Booth is an excellent lawyer. If your arse is in a sling or you need a fixer, he is the guy to call in Mississippi, especially North Mississippi. Very shrewd.

Was in federal court last year and saw Anthony tick off the judge.

Check out Kelsey Farese's instagram page.

Individual judges in this country have way too much power. There's hundreds of thousands of them and many of them are just obviously corrupt and appeals are long and difficult.

People can get any ruling they want by shopping for the right judge.

You’re right. It was a much better sport when a select few teams secretly laid their players.

I'm not a lawyer, but he clearly has a conflict of interest and should recuse himself.

I don’t understand why people don’t get this.

A Judge living and presiding in the county where the university is located graduated from said University.

This is going to be the case for the vast majority of Judges who live near any respective campus with a law school.

Breaking News at 10, I guess.

Judges are required to avoid the appearance of impropriety in all activities. The appearance of a conflict of interest would fall in this category.

I am not accusing this judge of a lack of objectivity, but a reasonable person with knowledge of the facts might reach that conclusion. That being the case, the judge should recuse himself out of an "abundance of caution" as the saying goes.

You have a dogshit argument that doesn’t stand up in court. The case is between the NCAA and Chambliss. The judge has no link to either parties.

Stick to farming and let us handle the suit stuff.

Correct. Really across the state as a whole in any state with only one prominent law school. Same applies in Alabama.

He doesn't have to recuse himself and he won't get in trouble if he doesn't. This is in the bag for Ole Miss. Don't ever confuse the law with what is "fair". Get over it and move on.

You have an 80% chance of drawing a judge with a degree from Ole Miss law in the state of Mississippi.
