First, congratulations to the Bengal Tigers for a well earned win. I thought it was the best I've seen LSU play all year.

But seriously, what was Les thinking on the fake? Yeah, I already heard the 7 is more than 3 comment. If that's the case, then why ever try a FG?

It was either end zone or bust with that fake. LSU had to get a
A. a good snap (not too tough )
B. a perfect throw from a guy, not named JaMarcus, with one knee on the ground (not easy, IMO)
C. a catch from a small white guy and be able to run the full 15 yards to the end zone. (difficult IMO )
Any of the above not work and it's first down florida, score still tied.

Instead of taking the 90+% chance of going up 3 late in a game, total chaos would have happened.

Also, I'm not sure why Florida end wasn't playing for the potential fake, it's not like the 3rd gets the block too many times on a short FG attempt.

Anyway, hats off (pun intended) to Les and gang, and here's to hoping we both make it in 3 weeks without any issues.

He was thinking, ''Damn it would be batshit crazy if I did fake here. No way Florida is expecting it.''

And he was right.

Actually he could have made a 1st down. So it wasn't end zone or bust

I think Les calculated that 7 points is better than 3 points.

it was a gutsy call, and not too unexpected considring it was Les Miles.

Could have been a hero/goat, but it worked.

I personally like a gambler.

That play really caught me off guard ... because I'd walked off cussin' and rantin' after that stupid 3rd down play call.

Was it?
I thought is was 4th and goal. If you're correct, that makes the fake a bit more understandable.

Very Gutsy Call. Les has been at LSU long enough he can make those calls without fear of losing his job.

Did it crash after "kick six" ?

If not ... then it likely would not have crashed had the fake FG failed.

You remember "kick six", correct? If not, I can link a gif or youtube video for you.

man you people are plain flat out stupid.

Les stated they put it in just for florida, had to run it perfect all week for it to be called and obviously it was.

yeah what was he thinking scouting up the opponent and finding a weakness....WHAT WAS HE THINKING!!!!!

It certainly was risky that it wasn't a backwards/lateral pass than a forward pass. It would've at least given the kicker a chance to scoop it if it was dropped.

These are the type of plays that make Les Miles a great coach because he trusts his players to execute something they've practiced over and over. But these same types of plays are what drives the fanbase crazy when it doesn't work.
