What the heck is 'fan fair'"? Do you mean fanfare?

Hopefully you'll go away..but as long as youre here, take a listen and try to understand why she is so well loved.
Dumbest azz.

It just shows that Jesus was not impressed with the charity of the rich and would not be of today.
He praised the poor widow because she didn't have to do it but did it anyway for a cause greater than her.
Just because someone is rich and gives more to charitable causes doesn't mean they are of a superior being than you are.

You're misrepresenting the meaning.
It was about giving all you had not about the amount. Jesus point was the woman gave her all.
You who are critical of Dolly... have you given your all?

Plus Dollywood is awesome in the fall when school is in. Almost no lines.

Nothing was misrepresented here.
Jesus was more impressed with the poor widow as she gave all. Not so with the rich.
Nothing was critical of Dolly.
But people continue to pass judgment on the poor while continuing to praise the rich is absurd.

It's not like the UF thing with Tom Petty who never gave a shite about UF.
Dolly and UTk are legit connected.

She didn't hoard her wealth. She helped children, medical research, disaster victims and employed family and Tennessean's. I never saw her buying extravagant crap or being wasteful with her wealth. She never claimed to be better than others.

But not quite as gay as you. So we’ll call it a win.

Dolly Parton spent a great deal of her energy helping other people. As a talented public figure, she was the opposite of divisive.

The butterfly stickers are fine. It's a one year thing. OU wore a Toby patch after Toby Keith passed and I appreciated that.

The frankincense and myrrh that Nicodemus gave for Jesus' burial would cost between $150,000 and $200,000 today. The tomb where Jesus resurrected was provided by Joseph of Arimathea.
Low estimates of Joseph of Arimathea's wealth in current value is around $30 Million. High estimates put it in the Billions.
Nicodemus was one of the wealthiest men in Jerusalem.
Just because someone is rich and gives to charitable causes, doesn't mean they are doing it for their own glory, either.

She founded the imagination library, that has given 325 Million Books to Kids
Helped raise 13 Mill for people in East Tenn after wildfires
Donated 1 mill to Vandy for Covid Vaccine research
The Dolly Parton Center has helped thousands of women and kids
Remind me what you have done..shut up
Very well put. Nothing to add to this.

In this cold world, there are givers and takers. The givers are vastly outnumbered. Dolly stood out as one of the most gracious givers to walk this earth. How incredible it must have been to have this kind of financial success in life, and she got to spend her life giving it to those in need. You know, a "more happiness in giving" kind of feeling. Good for her.
