quote:Yep. Because we sceered of Texas A&M. I have a feeling the Texas A&M playbook will change since Fisher will not (supposedly) be calling the plays. And if things remain the same (Fisher continues to call the plays), then A&M has more problems than us poaching Darrell Dickey from A&M.
Very similar feeling to Saban hiring Rees (BK’s personal protégé) to beat Brian Kelly vibes.

Y’all are still gonna have Jimbo as your HC in 2024

Their reasoning is crazy. Both teams offenses were awful, yet they think we needed to hire their coaches to help us stop their offenses?
If we needed help stopping offenses, we would have hired coaches from Alabama and LSU, not Clemson and Texas A&M.

And you seriously thing Kirby needs their playbooks to stop those offenses?

Believe A@M is still paying Dickey this year. $850k
Clemson will owe Streeter the $1.85 million remaining on his three-year contract, according to the deal’s buyout clause.
Kirby has done good picking up analysts other teams are paying large dollars too.

No, you answered your question tho. Why hire dudes who had awful offenses? Hmm

Todd monken worked out for us.
Matt Luke worked out for us.
Brian McClendon worked out for us.
I think Kirby knows what he's doing.

Because they won't be calling plays? They will be charting plays. You knew this right? Right?
Please tell me you knew they would only be charting plays and not calling the plays or making the game plan.
We can't make this any easier for you. Maybe I should get the crayons and paper out and draw you a picture? Would that help?

I think inept is the word you're looking for...
Was Bobo inept or were South Carolina and Auburn inept?
Seems like he had no issue in Georgia's system when he was last here, and even those Georgia teams cannot compare to the talent in Athens in 2023.
Not really fair to compare a guy's results when he's rubbing two sticks together vs. when he has an unlimited supply of kerosene and a military grade flame thrower.

The Georgia O-Line will be as stout as ever so hiring Dickey makes sense.
we are going to hear a lot of B Robinson and R Robinson this coming season.

If each of them adds 2 creative plays to the playbook, or help us with 1 big time recruit, it will have been worth what they are paid while A&M and Clemson pay them handsomely.

Actually (from the other site) I saw that both had prior relationships with Dylan Raiola and Raiola likes them. Hire them. Let their prior schools pay the lions share of their salary. Let them chart plays. Increase your chances of getting a great QB recruit.
Seems like a win/win to me.

Streeter and Dickey will each make $70,000 as quality control coordinators. Both Streeter and Dickey are still being paid by their former schools.
Streeter is owed the remained of his $1.85 million from Clemson over the next two years, though some of that will be offset by what he will make at Georgia. Dickey was owed $850,000 by Texas A&M.
You pay for em, Kirby uses them, lol
