That is good news, but it's still too early to signal victory.

All these United Movements (aka 100 kids per conference asking for money) about to get what they want.

Best of luck with the rewards

With Trumpf in the WH telling the American People that this thing is "gonna go away and disappear" and that wearing Masks is an issue of "personal freedoms" rather than saving lives and trying to control a Pandemic, what opportunity we had months ago to control this thing and save the CFB Season might have been lost, and now this weekend with those 250K assholes assembling in Sturgis SD, cause they wanna display "muh freedoms", we'll never get on top of this virus

Assholes and their "muh freedoms" is why CFB is at risk, we're losing CFB due Trumpf and his idiot "base"

All you a-hole Trumpf apologists, the situation we find ourselves in WRT CFB is all your fault, half of those 163K dead that's your fault also, maybe overly dramatic, but if the a-hole in the WH knew early on that his "base" was upset at the way he was handling the Pandemic, then he might have made better decisions and we'd have only 81.5K dead instead of 163K dead

I wonder what Trumpf voters feel when they look at themselves in the mirror, knowing how much damage they did to this great Country of ours by putting that clown in the WH

We are losing CF because of dumbasses like you. The ones who wanted to take an opportunity to destroy anything that they thought was good for America. You hate America because you want to blame generations of people who built this country for your failures. You are frustrated that the best economy in the world still couldn't get you out of your parents basement. You have allowed skinny white kids and fat arse lily white woman in yoga pants to derail your cottage industry of racism. Your block parties and your dance clubs have contributed to the death toll more than diabetes. All I can stay to people like you is go back to your hole and maybe one day you can blame someone for your failures without bringing race into the picture.

I thought Arkansas fans were upset that the schedule for Arkansas was the hardest among the SEC teams. Also wouldn't a cancelled 2020 year save Arkansas for another winless SEC?

So, flatten the curve? What is this, March?

I barely even remember that old talking point.

You may be right IDK. Hope so. Just can’t see anybody going down much with colleges and schools about to open . Seems like testing would be going up since colleges require it. Maybe that will show in a week or two bc I don’t know how often that shite (data) is updated . Not a data guy . CBS and Dr Dobbs ( State Health Officer ) and even governor Reeves have been gloom and doom last few days

The deaths generally lag about 2 weeks behind the cases, so it's pretty much a safe bet they will drop give or take a few days.

Hopefully they drop at a rapid pace as we have seen in other areas. I think the hot spots are going to start moving north over the next month, but overall hopefully keep falling.

I'm sorry about your father's illness, but while his individual hospital may be crowded, the COVID hospitalization rate is WAY down.

There’s a lot of problems with your chart.
The main one is that we have got to stop looking at covid as some evenly distributed plague.

It affects communities. It spreads across communities.
The hospitalizations being low[er] nationally does not mean some communities aren’t going through hell.

There are two other major problems with that chart that I think y’all can decide for yourselves.

Mississippi was just on national news Thursday with the highest per capita rate in the nation and the largest hospital needing 14 ICU beds .

And this is where the real problem lies. Your hospital administrators have had 4 months to increase COVID care capacity and have half assed it. Everyone in the medical field knows there will likely be a second wave as bad or worse than the first coinciding with flu season, and they don't have an adequate plan in place for it.

In 2014, after the Ebola panic that fortunately never materialized, the HHS surveyed hospitals and found that only 71% admitted to being fully unprepared to handle an EID emergency. In 2017 the HHS followed up as part of it's pandemic response plan, and 86% of hospitals claimed they purchased stores of PPE, trained personnel, and created action plans to be fully prepared to handle an emergency EID situation. It became apparent just weeks into this pandemic that almost every one of them had lied.

You are so full of crap with your “figures”. It’s almost comical at this point. The confirmed case death rate is 3.2%. It is simple math. There have been 5,148,364 cases and 165,041 deaths. Confirmed cases are not dropping in any substantial way contrary to your charts and graphs. There were 63k confirmed cases in the US yesterday. The US has only dropped below 50k cases twice in the last two weeks and that was due to a drop in testing numbers in Florida

Nope a-hole, you're way off

I'm no Medical Expert or Science Expert, but if every Trumpf supporter and voter would have simply copied me and worn a fricking Mask for the last 5 months when I'm away from home, not only would we have CFB, we'd probably have 75% capacity at the Games

Every expert has said, that widespread Mask wearing, Social Distancing, and frequent hand-washing will bring this thing under Control like it did everywhere else on this Planet, except for the 1 Country where Trumpf lied to everyone, "it'll go away, the warm weather will make it disappear, it'll fade away, children are immune......etc "

You say nothing about Trumpf's lies and misinformation and try to make everything a racist attack on America's "purity"

Every a-hole Trumpf boot-licker like YOU has to KNOW , "if we'd only elected a smarter guy to be our Prez we wouldn't be in the deep shite that we are in now"

You have to be the biggest idiot in the World to not believe that Trumpf horribly mismanaged this Crisis

Stop lying. There's still no standard for what's a covid "death." The death rate is in fact much lower than 3.2%. And, you know this. But, you're a liberal. So, facts mean nothing to you.

What a dumbass statement. The Networks will give their right nut for the SEC to play a 10 conference game season every year. The contract would be twice what its going to be when CBS loses it. It would guarantee at least two marquee games every weekend (2:30 and Primetime) for the entire season. I think it would put other Conferences like the ACC in the back of the bus. It would be the Power 1 (SEC)+ FOUR for the College Football Playoff. With the SEC getting two teams in every year. It would be bad for CF and the SEC is being charitable by not doing it.

And? You are saying they shouldn't even have a plan in place to play if it's possible?

And even if they had TV money, for the average P5 schools, that is about exactly equal to the amount of ticket sales, and also the amount of booster contributions. TV revenue is the bare minimum to keep them alive. When 20 G5 schools drop football and keep thousands of young black men from ever attending college, I suppose you'll be happy.

That schedule is death row. With little depth at most positions, they just can't afford a single injury to any of the starters. I can't see them finishing out the season with injuries and players opting out because of covid. That doesn't include the politics that will be involved which will turn many fans away.

So you have the toughest schedule in school history+shitty football+covid mandates+politics on the field+an almost empty stadium=an abomination of epic proportions.
