All these United Movements (aka 100 kids per conference asking for money) about to get what they want.

Best of luck with the rewards

As soon as that happens every Revenue Sport will survive and Non-Rev Sports will be dead, won't be any Money to enforce Title-IX, because you can't take Academic Money since the Athl Dept is separate, not to mention massive layoffs of highly paid Admins and support staff that work in the Athl Depts

If CFB is shut down for 2020, the "woke Athletes" that you hate so much will feel the least amounts of pain & suffering

My question is why do you even follow College Sports and cheer for them if you can only do so under the narrow constraints of, they can never have an opinion and never publicly complain about any injustice in America

You are so full of crap with your “figures”. It’s almost comical at this point. The confirmed case death rate is 3.2%. It is simple math. There have been 5,148,364 cases and 165,041 deaths. Confirmed cases are not dropping in any substantial way contrary to your charts and graphs. There were 63k confirmed cases in the US yesterday. The US has only dropped below 50k cases twice in the last two weeks and that was due to a drop in testing numbers in Florida

Case rate is not the same as what actually matters, which is the IFR(Infection Fatality Rate).

The 2 week average for cases is down 12.1%. The 1 week average is down 15%.

Every state is pretty much starting decline, especially states that were recently considering hot spots. A few up north in areas that haven't been hit hard yet are somewhat flat.

This link has data for all states, even down to the county and even includes testing data for the US.

There’s a lot of problems with your chart.

You should take it up with the CDC. It's directly from their Key Updates.

quote:

The hospitalizations being low[er] nationally does not mean some communities aren’t going through hell.

And that's why the people clamoring for a national response to a very community specific crisis are clueless. But it doesn't change the fact that the number of those communities in trouble is shrinking quickly right now.

quote:

There are two other major problems with that chart that I think y’all can decide for yourselves.

Again, take it up with your CDC. If you don't like their data, perhaps you can advise them on how to correct it.

You throw these statements out as if you an authority on epidemics. Cases aren’t going down at a significant rate, if anything they are plateauing at a high level. The CDC also stated that deaths increased by over 200k as compared to average death rates for that same time period in the US. You want to throw in these figures which can’t be quantified like non verified asymptomatic cases but you don’t include an undercounted death total by as much as 50k. The US has performed nearly 65 million tests which is a huge sample size for determining a relatively accurate assessment of how many people in the US have contracted the virus.

The CDC confirms the 0.26%. I was just ahead of them by 3 months. Which isn't because I'm an expert on epidemics, but rather because I took the IFR formula and applied it to Covid while the media was fear porning people like you with 3-5%. Your ignorant arse still hasn't updated to the real numbers because you are so invested in this.

Also, it's well known that the shutdown and other measures have caused many deaths. Suicides are up, overdoses and drug use is up, domestic violence is up. Cities are experiencing over a 100% increase in homocides, etc.

People would have a heart attack, but rather than go to the hospital, they would just go to bed and die.

Not to mention all the millions of people who have had their lives ruined after losing their jobs, their business and things they had spent their entire life building.

But sure, even though there is no evidence of people not being counted for covid, and lots of evidence for people being falsely counted as a covid death, it must be the covid and not the TERRIBLE actions that were taking in response to the media pushing out a fake mortality rate without any context.

Btw, when they talk about the flu's mortality rate, they quote the IFR. So they would tell you the flu's IFR, but then tell you the Covid Case rate, and pretend they were the same.

Why? To cause fear and panic.

I think the recent “United” movement with players making demands is changing the circumstances and making it more likely that the season gets cancelled.

Dealing with Covid and trying to play is one thing, now dealing with unrest among some players is going to probably cause a lot of Presidents and ADs to say frick it and cancel the season.

The United movement is just another Communist front organization posing as a majority Black movement. I can see those organizations from a mile away. Give it a few years and Black folks will be crying for college sports. Most Black folks are fooled by White liberals because White liberals have them thinking they can get revenge against Whites who are owners and controllers.

For the "what's the death rate" hawks...

MINNEAPOLIS -- Minnesota Vikings linebacker Cameron Smith said he will miss the 2020 NFL season due to a congenital heart condition he only discovered after testing positive for COVID-19.

The virus is not the big problem

It’s the crookedness of the Democrat party and coach’s like sabah with his insane greed who promotes that harm to America

Him not being fired by football will cost billions

Liberalism. You know when this Covid-19 all ends? After the November elections. It’s just another attempt to destroy Trump and Republicans.

Cases shot up to their highest levels in June and July but the death rate remained flat lined throughout the entirety.

The thing is that the NCAA has not exerted any control over the sport. That doesn't even matter though because the conferences actually have more power than the NCAA. Pair that with the fact that conferences are made up with members that have control over their own program.

Who in the SEC plans to cancel football? I don't think LSU plans any cancelation (other than nonconfernce games). I am sure that's the case for the majority if not all of the SEC. I think we're going to play.
