Bueller? Bueller?

If you can’t figure out where the SEC tournament is held 6 pages into a thread about it, why should anyone put any stock in any of your opinions?

Trustmark Park would actually be a similar venue to Hoover, but with a nicer stadium, an outlet mall, Bass Pro Shop, and a Cavender's within short walking distance.

There's a reason the homies from the other side of the Pearl River don't venture over there. LINK

If you've been to some of the newer MLB parks, they are all trying to be Disneyland now. That's because the younger generation has ADHD from birth and needs constant stimulation or they get bored. Watching a baseball game is not enough for them.

Mallparks instead of ballparks. Their main function is to separate the fan from his money, taking in a game is down the list of things to do in a newer mlb stadium. Fenway, Wrigley, dodger stadium are vastly superior to the new stadiums if you want to actually watch a game. Citi Field is an exception, great new stadium.

The big12 tournament has the atmosphere of a funeral in that giant empty stadium. Should have kept it in OKC.

The Met may not be fancy and shiny but the city does a good job hosting, the players like it, the coaches like it, and fan turnout is great and gets bigger each year.

Unless your seats are behind one of Fenway's poles

Nah, part of the charm.

The majority of seats Fenway are great for watching a game*

There a literally hundreds of better ballparks and enumerable better places to be than shithoover Alabama. With gump on the decline and losing influence rapidly, it won’t be long until it moves and we all can avoid troglodytea in May.

Yeah. I love Fenway. We sat in the outfield once behind the Red Sox pen. They were growing tomatoes in the bullpen. I mean some nice, ripe looking whoppers too. :Pretty awesome.

The three you listed are classics, but saying Citi Field is an exception makes me wonder what of the new stadiums you've been to.

I'd rate Shiti Field (a Yankees fan introduced me to that) behind Camden, Citizens Bank, and Cincinnati's stadium. Everyone I know that has been to Cleveland, Pittsburgh, and Detroit in addition to Citi say those stadiums are better than Citi.

New Busch is better than Citi as well, but you probably think it is a "Mallpark".

Apparently this is the last year of the SEC Hoover contract so let the bidding happen. My guess is the SEC gives Hoover a 5 year contract extension but I like Biloxi if it moves

I’m from Texas and I think that is way too far west for teams and fans to travel.

This. They have several great options in FL (Pcola is basically AL so it doesn't count), but it's too far for the majority. Same with TX, great options but too far even with adding OU/TX.

I'm okay with Hoover being a baseball fan, but my family won't go because it's just baseball and tailgating. The Gulf locations leaves the dudes going to games while the family can beach/game/etc., and everyone is happy.

If they wanna draw the younger crowd, Biloxi and Pensacola are the answer. If not, leave it in Hoover is fine with me.

Citizens sucks. Haven’t been to great American or PNC but they do look nice.

Camden is good but I wouldn’t call a 32 year old ballpark “new”

Progressive field is old as well and just got an update this offseason.

Will never happen because it has a tiny arse press box.

That’s another underrated reason they don’t leave Hoover, the Met has a huge press box to accommodate a pretty big media contingent. I believe they may have added a good bit of extra space around the time Michael Jordan was playing for the Birmingham Barons.

Hoover does one hell of a job putting on the tournament. My family had a great time when we went.

I absolutely loathe the Phillies and even I can admit that they have a fantastic stadium.
