If it wasn't for track, would Arkansas even have an athletic program?

(Checks in and reads thread. Backs away quietly to avoid being seen)

USC is better then you think.
Mizzou is much worse.

Amy school that hired John L. Smith. Take your pick.

Uhh....If you did 5 minutes of research, you'd see that USC's athletics programs are better than you think.

South Carolina?
They've got national titles in baseball and womens basketball in the last 10 or so years.
No way they are in the discussion for worst program in the league. Now, if you want to add Missouri to that list, then fine. Certainly not Scar though.

1. MSU - has a sub .500 record in football, and not a single NC in any sport.
2. Missouri - poop swastikas.......
3. Florida - they are Ole Miss's bitch in football, and just got MSU's sloppy seconds.

Current directors cup standings have shed some light on the subject:
#1: Current bottom 3 are State, OM and Vandy.
#2: without Track & Field and Cross Country, Arkansas might as well not have an Athletic Department.

Gamecock football is +6 ahead of Arkansas football in SEC wins since 1992. +16 since 2010. USC has also played in Atlanta more recently than Arkansas.
Gamecock basketball has won the SEC and reached the Final 4 more recently than Arkansas basketball.
Gamecock baseball, well...there is that one time in Omaha when Carolina sent the Hogs home on the way to a 2nd consecutive CWS championship for USC.

Two ways to look at it:
Just looking at current academic year conference standings for MSU.
Football: 6th
Men's Basketball: 7th
Women's Basketball: 1st
Cross Country: 5th
Baseball: 12th
Soccer: 12th
Softball: 6th
Men's Tennis: 1st
Women's Tennis: 5th
Volleyball: 14th
Baseball, Soccer and Volleyball are in the bottom 3
Women's Basketball and Men's Tennis are #1
Every other sport is in the top half of the league
I'm not doing it for everyone, but I doubt there are 11 SEC teams with an average placement higher than State's.
But, Looking at the current Learfield Cup standings, which emphasize national finish, the bottom three are
150. Vanderbilt
83. Mississippi State
62. Ole Miss
MSU will get at least 85 points for women's basketball, which will make the three worst: Vanderbilt, Ole Miss and LSU, as Tennessee will move past LSU with a Men's tournament appearance.

Women’s soccer and men’s basketball also finished in their respective final 4s within the last 2 years, with the soccer team having some conference titles under their belts.
Men’s football had 3 top 10 finishes in the not so distant past and several of the other programs are routinely top 25 ranked.
Idiot.

We are in the Final Four this weekend for the 2nd time in 2 years. And last year we made WBB noticeable enough to where multiple people started threads over our win over Connecticut.
So that marks postseason in Football, MBB, and WBB. Arkansas only made the postseason in MBB.
