Alabama’s LBs are fvcking slow as shite and might as well be playing in sand. No one commented on the fact that these defenses (while very good) are VASTLY overrated due to the fact that SEC offenses are an abortion for the most part.

This surprised me. Little guy (who isn't remotely as quick and fast as Barner or Black Mamba) ran right by and around them all day.

I was thinking of Oregon watching that game...LSU was far more athletic and quick. Bama looked old. Offensive styles help or hurt certain teams. It really helped Bama that they were able to win the title last year by basically just playing LSU twice - the offensive style LSU was a godsend to Bama while LSU seemed more versatile - LSU would have been a problem for Okie State.

SEC retards around here say that "gimmick offense" (good offenses) will never work in the SEC. Chip Kelly could never win in the SEC. Those SEC defenses would kill his offense. He would lose AT LEAST 4 conference games a season.

People better hope and pray Alabama doesn't backdoor into the National Championship Game against Oregon, because that offense would drop 40 on Alabama.

All that confusion you saw on Alabama's sideline, those LBs you saw gassed against A&M athletes, multiply that by a thousand and that is what would happen against Oregon.

Well the one example we have is the 2010 NCG and they scored 19 points on Auburn's dogshit defense. So it's still a valid opinion, though I don't think they'd lose 4 games. They'd probably have 2.

Because they never have.. And FWIW the offenses are not the problem, it's the defense's.

However I don't see Oregon losing this year.

8 straight SEC games over 400 yards is one game?

Reading comprehension FTW!

+ Johnny Football

I would also add the fact that A&M's run defense is actually pretty good. It's their pass defense that is terrible. This helps them against the top SEC teams, right now anyways.

Yea, they hired someone to install a dynamic, spread Big XII style offense which is exactly what he's done and he's torching the SEC with it.

he most glaring point this game did was only reinforce how much Oklahoma State got screwed last year. That offense would have THROTTLED either of LSU or Alabama, zero doubt about it.

Yea, I will never understand how a viable conference champion did not get a shot over a rematch. Blows my mind. Someone will be in shortly to proclaim Alabama clearly belonged in the NC game because 21-0, but as you said, we will never know the outcome of Okie St v. LSU.

Further, the Big 12 has played the SEC close in title games in the BCS era.

Bama v. Colt-less Texas was 24-21 with 6 minutes to go in the 4th. Final was 37-21 though.

UF OU 24-14; game was tied in the 4th

LSU OU 21-14

arse kicked? I don't know. It was a 13 point game against one of the most dominant regular season teams in recent memory. You read it all of the time on here, these high powered offenses would never work in the SEC. Same thing said about Kelly was said about Sumlin.

I could agree with this. A&M's "hurry up" seemed to leave bama confused a good bit. Oregon's offense runs even faster almost break neck fast sometimes.

If Oregon's team is dropping like flies playing that shite schedule I'd like to see how they hold up in the SEC.

So now they suddenly become an SEC style team? A&M plays exactly like Oklahoma State did last year and they're not even as good as OK ST was last year.
wait, so OSU ran the same exact offense that a&m does?

you mean they were calling Weeden on designed runs/options, etc? you're telling me that Weeden was as mobile as Manziel is showing himself to be?

A&M's offense is way different than OSU in that they are able to add that extra dimension of a true running threat at the QB position.

Weeden stood back in the pocket all day long and picked teams apart by going to Blackmon all day, with the occasional sprinkling of Randle.

It's apples and oranges. just because both teams throw alot doesn't mean they are the same offense.

Sorry, I was unaware yardage now determines who wins. I always thought it was the score.

If you don't think a very young, freshmen-led offense putting up 400+ yards in every SEC game this season is impressive then you need to take the SEC blinders off.

Who knows what would have happened if A&M would have had Swope when they played UF and LSU. He torched Bama and is the fastest white guy in the country.
