That's where I am. Same with the Balogun call. Use VAR for what's called, not to pull one out your arse after the fact.

My thought with VAR has always been that if there's a big call, review it. If the official doesn't call it, don't VAR it. There are some exceptions like offside (which I also hate. Draw a line at their feet and rule) but other than that just back up the officials.
Last night in real time, that was just the game. There were multiple other moments there could have, maybe should have been a card but they picked that one. Should've never gone to VAR if the guy on the field didn't see it as it happened.

There are a few layers you have to get through to get to data centers in this equation.
I agree with the problem the surveillance state poses, but you have republicans pushing for FISA renewal. The ship has sailed so far you can't even see it at this point. It is probably one of my biggest issues with his presidency. It needs to end but there are few people in congress actually fighting it.

He's been a vegetable for a couple years. He's literally a puppet in the senate. Why do we let this happen?

I think they panicked. They didn't expect us to keep attacking. They had 15ish minutes to actually do something before we scored the 2nd. After that it was just desperation.

Credit where due. You called it.
There was a red card with a VAR review, a goal, and multiple injuries. The whistle was blown slightly before the full 10 was up.
It was a lot of added time, but it wasn't crazy. I figured 8-10 before they announced it.

Little late, but holy shite the balls on Poch to keep pressing and pushing after the red.
McKennie, I've always liked him but dude is playing his arse off. The 2002 squad was great, 2009 CONFED - 2010 WC was a fun watch.
This team is just special. I know even with Balogun that Belgium is iffy but the way they're playing is just wild to see.

fictional movie that has some modicum of truth about mass illegal immigration being a net negative to Western civilization is a grift? Interesting.
It's revenge porn and outrage bait. The entire premise is "I don't like this, I will kill you."
It's a 90 minute version of watching the Gary Plauche video. There is no character development. There is no story. There is nothing other than "there are bad people, let me kill them and show you."
In the last person that's gonna defend pretentious "high art" but this is a notch above A Serbian Film.
Not saying some of the scenarios aren't rooted in reality but this whole movie is stream of consciousness "if that was me I'd kill that MF."

Premier League refs are seemingly just morons
I know the game didn't even matter and all, but the City v Villa game where they called Foden offside because apparently he has a SpongeBob arse is a prime example.
They just aren't consistent. They'll call a game loose then just pull out a card at a random moment when the same foul has happened 10 times already. I get it they're not all gonna call the game verbatim by the book but Jesus Christ they'll bust a call out of their arse like nobody else.

Been really solid. There have been some matches (Germany Paraguay today) that I've thrown my hands up like "oh now you're calling it". It'll be a clear foul but they're letting them play for the most part.

Good a day as any to start this I supposed.
Anderson is reported to have done his medical yesterday, could be announced any day now.
Enzo is back so we'll still have a bald man with salt and pepper facial hair leading the squad. Pretty excited to see what he does going forward.

Having a floating boundary line with essentially no margin for error is a recipe for complaining. Particularly when the actual boundary line is more like a reference point, and there are missed fouls that obviously affect plays.
It needs to be feet. You stand on your feet. You don't stand on your elbows. You don't stand on your arse.
That's really my only complaint. Just go off of feet.

Oregon is what happens when an outdoorsy area gets overwhelmed with transplants from California.
My job puts me in contact with multiple people from the PNW that moved to the south. From what they tell me, everything is run by Seattle and Portland in their respective states and if you aren't there your opinion basically doesn't matter.
They've killed some major industries in those states. Everything that happens is someone in the cities saying "well yeah this sounds great" and it gets passed. Nothing is looked at beyond surface level, which is also true in most areas, but there is zero pushback on anything.
