Says the guy bitching about a situation he wasn't involved in and apparently doesn't know the facts of.

My brother in Christ, he will be 70 in a few weeks.
Winner = culture

Saban wasn't from here. Les wasn't from here. Skip wasn't from here. Brady wasn't from here. Wade wasn't from here. Jay isn't from here.

Hire a winner and people buy in.

You expect a governor to sit on the tarmac in a plane full of college students instead of getting in a car and going home? Landry would’ve done the same damn thing.

If he could arrange for his pickup, he could've communicated with the teams charter company.

I find it hilarious that Tulane fans are flat out saying, "you don't want him" while LSU fans keep bringing him up.

Mainly popping up from right wing sources for me. She came out of nowhere.

Kelly came after JBE threatened LSU football in the budget battle. It's gonna blow over.
He really did. "Ask Jay Johnson how many times he stepped foot in Louisiana before he got hired, how's that working out?"

this isnt 2005 anymore. He will be an NFL head coach in under 3 years if he continues to produce.

Maybe. He's been in charge less than half a season.

It isn't simply "we need a proven head coach". I'm not against hiring a coordinator, but what does Kelvin bring to the table, honestly?

-COVID season Director of Player Development at LSU
-Couple years coaching LBs
-7 games as an NFL DC

Kirby had 16 years in college w/ 7 as DC under Saban
Lanning had 10 years in college. 4 as DC, 3 of those at UGA under Kirby
Day 14 years in college, 2 as OC under Urban at OSU

Those guys had relationships. They had seen how a college program operates for years. They networked. They knew other college coaches. They had GAs and position coaches under them they met and worked with they could call.

Who does Kelvin Sheppard hire? Do you just put him up top and let Austin Thomas handle the staff? Has he handled recruiting? Has he handled boosters? Has he managed a roster?

He's a risky hire.

re: I Would be Fine With Frank

This line of thinking is how we got Orgeron.

Yes we got a natty...and we got the bus driven directly off the cliff.

I love Frank being a part of this program. He's been a great ambassador for LSU and brought tons of great players here. Lots of players look up to him. He's built a legacy here. I appreciate the hell out of it, but Frank isn't LSU HC material.
Looks like Biden removed 4 white guys, literally because they're white.

Doesn't seem like a serious organization. I don't care.
Landry was involved but not as much as everyone thinks. This was BoS/donors involving him because 1) the BoS answers to him and 2) we don't have a president.

This was a huge move and the optics COULD get bad. They brought him in the loop. He didn't spearhead it.
What does a Kelvin Sheppard staff look like at LSU? Who are his guys? What connections does he have he can call upon to build a staff to his liking?

Maybe he'll be solid in a few years, but as of right now he's got a year of "played development" in college and 7 games as a DC in the NFL.

There are a ton of question marks.

Sounds like the Bob Dylan one. Just because someone has some good songs doesn't mean we need a biopic about them.

That's my thing with this. Who the hell is excited about a Springsteen biopic??
Kiffin feels too obvious to happen so I'll go Sumrall.
BK.

Les sucked at the end but his guys loved him, he had funny moments, and even if we got our asses kicked they played hard.

I knew I would flame out when we lost so much after 2019. I hated the extension but you kinda had to do it. He was a good story though.

Kelly has zero redeeming qualities, and I'm one that honestly hung in until Saturday night.

UGA, Bama, A&M have to lose and OM has to hold steady. No guarantee.
