re: Thamel - Alabama names Keelon Russell starting QB over Austin Mack

It was always going to be Russell. Saw him a half dozen times at Duncanville and the dude is a freak. They got a good one.

This is Macks 4th year and he is what he is. Russell is a difference maker.

Probably “safer”/better to post it on a Bama board but all I can say is that Keelon is just different.

Obviously people can’t see it for themselves yet, but he’s the type that only come around so often, and is one of the ones throughout the years who were able to elevate a Syracuse team to a Big East Title or Purdue to a Rose Bowl caliber talent.

I know that sounds like farrrrr too much of exaggeration, hyperbole, “wishful thinking” or however you want to label it.

All I can say is that you can either take advantage of it if you are a person who chooses to gamble… I’m sure you could get crazy odds for two more weeks or so.

Or at least do the “bookmark” thing to my post or however people on here can find an old post and respond to it, and get a good chuckle if I’m wrong.

I’m sure the narrative here will turn into how he saved CKD’s job, etc…but as long as he decides to keep playing in Crimson, it’s like having a “cheat code” for a game when you were a kid.
