What makes this so bad is how good Tx recruits. I went back to 247 recruiting rankings and uses 09 to 21. Since it takes a year for recruits to get on team, and then you look at no conf titles in this same time frame:
09: 6
10: 2
11: 4
12: 2
13: 17
14: 16
15: 10
16: 6
17: 25
18: 3
19: 3
20: 9
21: 15
22: 5
Now, go back and look at their records from 10 to 22. 91-72. Crazy how bad they did when factoring recruiting. Its a culture problem.
10: 5-7
11: 8-5
12: 9-4
13: 8-5
14: 6-7
15: 5-7
16: 5-7
17: 7-6
18: 10-4
19: 8-5
20: 7-3
21: 5-7
22: 8-5
Its almost impossible to do so bad compared to how good they recruited. This spans 4 coaches too, so its not that or recruits. Its culture. I mean in the 21 season you have 18/19/20 recruiting classes of 3/3/9 and go 5-7? WTF

Ok...I love cracking on Texas as much as anyone...but joining the SEC will only help them in recruiting. Texas is a hotbed of HS talent...and they will be keeping more of that talent moving forward.
In the 2023 class, they got 3 of the top 10 players in Texas. In 2022, they got 2. In 2021, they got 1. With them in the SEC...there isn't any reason they shouldn't be getting at least half of the top 10 in Texas every year.
