LSU’s softball pitching ace Jayden Heavener announced yesterday she is transferring to Texas Tech. I am sure when she was a little girl growing up in Florida she dreamed of being a Red Raider.
$1 million dollar softball players. $5 million dollar football players. You have to the love the purity of college sports. There is nothing like watching amateurs competing for the love of the game.

Exactly.
Capt is ok though, he’s on the spectrum like a motherfricker, but he’s ok.

As usual, LSU fans are lashing out because they are angry.

We are all over here losing sleep over a softball player.

This is all sour grapes.
Everyone was for NIL until they got outbid. Tech is throwing its money around and getting the best players. Get in the game or get left behind. This is the new normal.

Exactly. Bama built their program by paying players under the table and snitching on other schools who started doing it too. Now that the playing field is leveled they suddenly care about the sanctity of amateur athletics
38-3 wasn’t an aberration, it’s the new normal

It’s almost like they think they are on the sidelines watching the world spin around them.
As if they forgot they said they were “the undisputed kings of college football”.
Now reduced to TideSaint levels of alters and LSU news.

There is a thread over on tiger rant by a supposed insider who said everybody is jumping ship. That's because either they don't have faith in Beth or LSU has pulled the money rug out from under LSU softball for more important things.
LSU softball fans should not be mad at TTech. (I'm not) They should be mad that LSU softball is not a priority. (I'm not)

To be honest he could take the whole softball program for 3.50 and I'd be cool w/ it.
If he is willing m to burn its his prerogative.
I'd like to take any and all funding from LSU softball outside of scholarships. If you want to play a sport that loses crazy money then the University should no be paying you. This us the opposite of the free-market.

If they’re really paying her $1M, then it’s a no brainer decision to go. Her earnings potential as a softball player or as a professional in her career field don’t come close to the value of the $1M. If she keeps $300k as play money, then drops $700K in the market earning just 10%, in 30 years that $700K is over $12M. I don’t blame her one bit for taking the payday.

I’d rather lose every football game than pay this much for a half rate sport.
