Do you honestly think bama didn’t perform similar recruiting pitches like paying players, family members, etc prior to NIL? I’m not saying to this current level but this has been going on for decades, it’s just more out in the open.
I cant stand tech but don’t blame them at all, how else are they supposed to compete?

I think all programs were handing out $100 handshakes, providing jobs for family members, and offering very attractive financing of vehicles - buy now pay never financing.
I do not believe Alabama ever paid a football player $5 million/season or a softball player $1 million/season.
Who will have the first $100 million dollar football roster? Texas, Texas Tech, Michigan, or Miami?

LSU is throwing around big money these days but softball isn't one of them. I think the administration is happy just making the postseason.

If I had Elon Musk’s worth, I wouldn’t give to LSU softball. I would probably stay out of NIL game altogether. They are supposed to be college students, not pros.
