The football program has 1 national championship since the segregation era of college football ended. That doesnt sound like a whole lot of fun but does seem like a bunch of blue balls.

Claiming Blueblood status based on a time period wen offensive guards still weighed 165 pounds and every other player was named Buzz or Frank is pretty flimsy and ditzy and wishful thinking

Texas has both blue balls and blue bell...a horrible combination. Who let them in.

Georgia went 41 years between titles.

Nope! The list is very short...

Alabama
Southern Cal
Notre Dame
Oklahoma

...Texas does not belong in the conversation with Oklahoma.

Their state also has a strange obsession with bluebonnets.

No, but you’re talking smack about years between titles. Dumbass.

Quite literally all 14 teams voted to add them in before the 2021 season...

What is the definition of Blueblood? Wins? Titles? Brand recognition? Fanbase? Weighted system of all?

Everyone defines bluebood differently

Why is OSU not on your list as well as Michigan? i understand you can make the same argument with Michigan as with Texas, but OSU has won 2 titles since 2000 and been good pretty consistently for 70 years+

You forgot Ohio State. I much as I hate to say it, they deserve to be on this list.

The top 3 (in no particular order) is Alabama, Ohio State and Oklahoma. I'd probably give the nod to Alabama given all of their national titles, but a credible argument can be made for each if we're going from 1940-present.

imo - Southern Cal, Notre Dame, Michigan, Nebraska, Texas, Georgia and either Penn State or LSU round out the rest of the top 10 (again, not particularly in that order)

Blue Bloods
Alabama
Oklahoma
Ohio State
Notre Dame
USC
Michigan
Texas
Nebraska

Those 8 are pretty much always included on any list of college football blue bloods. That’s public opinion. Not my list, not my opinion. If that upsets you, that’s on you.

All Time CFB Wins
1.Michigan 1003
2.Alabama 964
3.Ohio State 964
4.Notre Dame 948
5.Texas 948
6.Oklahoma 944
7.Penn State 930
8.Nebraska 916
9.Georgia 881
10.Tennessee 876
11.USC 875
12.LSU 843

So all time wins clearly has a lot to do with it, but it isn’t everything..

eta: I am not researching which team has wins vacated or not, or if they should count.. the list is close enough for this discussion.

It's cute that you think it's your decision to make. Georgette fans should shut the frick up about Texas until they can actually beat us on the field.

Texas has a better argument than Georgia and you essentially started this thread unprovoked. Your insecurity is showing.

I don't think Texas had any Frank's or Buzzes on their last segregated national championship team...

But they did have a "Happy", a "Scooter", a "Cotton". a "Leo", and a "Frank" on there.

Who gives a frick about Blue Bloods? The face of,College football is changing. This is no longer your Grandpa’s era of football. With the new playoff it will be tough as hell to win consistent NCs
