Think most Texas fans are not overly invested in baseball this year. Just one of those years.

Oh no, does that mean we can't keep David Pierce?

Maybe they didn't want to be there....not a good year.

Been like that for 20 years almost. You haven’t won shite since Vince Young was there and I’m not talking about football. Texas is overrated in all sports and there’s no statistic to prove otherwise.

We’re in. 20-10 in league, albeit a shitty one.
Won every conference series except for one.

Now for reality. I think the frustration arouhd Texas baseball is more than performance. Pierce is disliked more than his track record might dictate, and yet I completely understand the sentiment. He doesn’t really endear himself to the fan base and have that feel and culture like Augie and Cliff did before him. Lest people forget this is only the fifth baseball coach ever at Texas. It’s really a crazy statistic. He didn’t replace the pitching coach and named himself in that role and the pitching is horrible. As a third base coach he is AWFUL. Some kids would know not to send runners to home when he does. He is an integral guy, but I’m not sure that he is likable in the sense everybody would want. It could be because of his persona but it’s like I wonder how invested he is being the head of Texas baseball. Again, the overall numbers are not bad but yet almost across the board people would tell you they have no faith that things will trend back up or that he is the guy going forward. We would not be in the postseason if we were in the SEC this year. But it seems we are going to have to take lumps for a year or two before a change is made. I just can’t see a change coming at this point.

Surprised, usually Texas shits the bed regular season but tears it up in the tourney.

If they’re a 2 seed they’ll win their regional

If this is true, then he went to a school that demanded winning football championships.

Your head is so far stuck up your arse. First, baseball hasn’t won a championship in 20 years and that’s the same for football. Second, basketball has never won one. So outside of that shite, go frick yourself.

Next, Oklahoma owns your arse. You aren’t even the best in your own conference. They have 5 times many more big 12 titles, more heismans and have beaten your arse over the last 25 years.

You’re in almost dead last in every sport this year in the SEC. Hell even Auburn kicks your arse in golf. Go smoke some pot, suck on a Willie and join your Palestinian friends at ACLU bitch

Definitely this. Already looking ahead to football, where expectations are sky high.

Not lately.
They’ve lost 8 in a row in Arlington
But conference tourney performance has little to no bearing. Texas has made Omaha in seasons with bad showings in conference tourney. Last year they went 2 and Q and rolled through Miami regional

If you expand it beyond Texas and Big 12, plenty of examples in SEC of how little it matters too. 2021 NC miss state was run ruled in 2 games in Hoover that year

If you don’t win it, at least get sent home early. No reason to tax the arms when you’re already in and seeding wasn’t changing anyway
